Rules on attacking

Hey all, coming up with some customs and came across an uncertainty in the basic mechanics of the game.

Does a figure need at least 1 attack to make an attack 'roll'? Would they actually need to...

We had a great time, luckily we were able to get our shirts. Man those two games I lost dropped me down. Both players I lost to were in the top 7 and both had an excess of Phantom Knights... I guess...

He posted a little on the first page. Basically to my understanding it's just for the exclusives, for example. You can use Sir Hawthorne using the Weston sculpt as long as your or your teammate does...

No, they would nest and resolve in a last in-first out manner.

Mindflayer takes his turn and then enslaves Sir Hawthorne. In Sir Hawthorne's turn he switches sides (back to the original owner)...
