Orcs aren't terrible in 1's, but they are much more effective in large numbers. Same for the Marro Drudge.
I suppose those are more "mediocre in single squads" than "worst."

I voted Ninjas because they're just so fun to play. It was close between them and the Krav Maga Agents, but as far as which one I would rather pick for any ol' army it would be the Ninjas.

It was close between Cyprien, Krug, and Drake, but I find Cyprien to be a simply terrifying unit. I would rather fight Krug and Drake in an army than Cyprien. And for that matter would rather use him...

I love Braxas, she's my favorite dragon, and Acid Breath is awesome. And I love Isamu and his tiny little price, but more often than not I have found the Reavers to be the most effective in a match....

I was routing for the gladiator, and they're still my favorite warriors, but the Apache got it fair and square. I loved trident and net demos. And the tomahawk demo was pretty awesome as well.
