900 units with a million more well on the way?

I've done 6 unpainted minis and recolored 6 prepainted figures. I do enjoy painting though; it's somehow both therapeutic and stressful at the same time. Listening to podcasts helps pass the time.

Re: SPOILER TALK: Star Wars: Rise of Skywalker

The First Order was led by Snoke who was created and used as a puppet by Palpatine. After Palpatine's army is defeated because his fleet doesn't know which way is up the rest of the galaxy finally...

Re: Aven's Custom Heroscape (Wave 1?)

Welcome to the site, Avendoram! :)

I like a lot of your customs and ideas so here's my rambling :2cents: feedback per unit if you are interested in that sort of thing:

Albino Crayfish: First...

Re: Movies: What did You Watch Last Night?

A friend had me watch Zardoz for our occasional "bad movie night". It's a lot more strange than it is bad, with a lot of very interesting ideas buried under all its horrible 70's-isms. Kind of...

Re: TV: What Are You Watching?

I've been watching tons of older TV shows lately, based on different recommendations from folks I trust.

Star Trek The Next Generation was my first proper dive into the franchise outside of The...

Re: TAF's Customs BILBO

Before it becomes 6/20, I wanted to really quick make a nod to Sir Ian Holm who if you weren't aware passed away earlier today. As he portrayed Bilbo Baggins in the Lord of the Rings trilogy, I...

Re: Heroscape Mle

Ah, I forgot about the adjusted price of units. That'd help immensely, especially for balancing out the numbers issue. I'd much sooner get to go with 12 Stingers over 1 Jotun, but that was assuming...

Re: Heroscape Mle

It'd certainly be good for big games since everything takes a turn, plus it'd help out units that struggle to justify putting a whole OM on 'em such as Shades or Deathstalkers. Completely shuffling...

Re: The Book of Azazel the Kyrie Warrior

This guy is just a great combination of existing powers and drips with theme. I recall fighting him for the first time at a tourney way back when. My army consisted of Samurai and Hatamato Taro and...

Active Protagonists > Passive Protagonists

Rey is the most boring character in the trilogy. I know that's partially by design (blank slate characters are a thing, especially for female main characters), but still. Passive protagonists who...

Re: Astro's Custom Units [Update 5/31/20: WWII Tank Hero]

Tanks are cool. The small size is historically inoffensive for a light tank.

I can completely understand the price tag on the Draft Horses. Triple Carry is extremely strong, especially since you...

Re: TAF's Customs HAVECH OVERLORD

For the most random bump ever, I've added Var-Bak-Na from Owlman's recent Havech Hero contest. I was satisfied enough with my entry to add it to the old library:

Re: Best To Worst Star Wars Movie By Ranking Individual Chap

If Kylo Ren isn't the most interesting character in the sequels, then who is? MaRey Sue? Escaped child soldier turned bumbling comic relief (poor John Boyega, what a waste of a great concept)?...

Absolute bullsh*t. TLJ is awful because of its abysmal writing and RoS has the exact same problem. They're just two different flavors of bad; one just happens to be more desperate to please than the...

Re: Movies: What did You Watch Last Night?

Perfect Blue was certainly a unique experience. I think I liked it quite a bit, even if it got a little too needlessly surreal after awhile. It'll certainly stick with me if nothing else. I do wish...

Re: Contest: Design a Figure: "The Wrath of Var-Bak-Na"

Make a favorable card, get a squad of Eradicators, eh? Not too shabby.

I assume by finger-pointing guy you're referring to the Eradicator on the upper left of this picture:

Yeah he seriously expands the threat range of a Roman or Death Chaser army. And also Groks I guess. Groks exist.

Let's get weird with it

Well you've done all three of these things before with Dilmir/Apocalypse/HiS respectively. I guess you could combine them where Zombies have taken over Feylund and a small resistance of Vampires must...

Remake 6/10s not 10/10s

Event Horizon is on Netflix right now. It's decent but its amazing premise begs for a better execution. I heard they're adapting it into an Amazon miniseries so perhaps something can come out of...

Well, they're... pretty evil... It's just an example: the same'd go with Orcs and killer robots, etc.

Or maybe it's like solving a problem by bringing cockroaches into your home. :ponder:
