Re: Figure Suggestion Thread

SinChan I don't know how you feel about metal minis, but there's a set of four metal "Cyber-Reavers" that are definitely not-T-800 endoskeletons sold by Reaper here...

Re: Alternate Sculpts

Dad_Scaper No worries! It's like a third of what I found; most of the rest is heroes but there's a couple more squads - Durgeth, Shieldsmiths, Grax, Beakface Sneaks, and some unreleased ones, I think...

Re: Alternate Sculpts

These are all awesome! A minor note - the reaper Owlbear is a lot taller than the actual figure for Kozil because of the pose (I've compared as I have the actual Blood of Gruumsh minis from my D&D...

Re: Alternate Sculpts

That's fair! I've been really liking how easy they are to work with, and I'm looking forward to starting to get the ones I've collected so far painted. Most excited to try it out on my Knights of...

Re: Alternate Sculpts

I'm using an unpainted D&D Flesh Golem from the Castle Ravenloft box set (that may be a little rarer now, but I've still seen some of the boxed board games available at physical stores, and that one...

Re: Alternate Sculpts

Also, Dad_Scaper, I have resent the up-to-date spreadsheet of the Bones proxies to you. Found proxies for the Brute Gruts, Sentinels of Grax, and Shieldsmiths of Granite Keep that were added to the...

Re: Alternate Sculpts

Almost exact. It's a tiny bit shorter than the official fire elemental, but not enough that it would be apparent in gameplay, I don't think - probably not even a full hex.

Re: Alternate Sculpts

An easy classic one that came up in a discussion with my gaming group was using the Ogre Pulverizer as a Pel the Hill Giant proxy. They're fairly similar in stature and pose, and given that the Blood...

Re: Alternate Sculpts

Easily single based, a bit taller than the average Reaper figure, so probably roughly the height of a Sentinel or Minion without wings I'd guess, but a bit thinner than those. From the pictures I've...

Re: Index of Classic Heroscape .stl files

Re: Alternate Sculpts

The proxy I've been using for the Skull Demon since I don't think I could afford what a Ram box would cost even if I found one on eBay (although I was lucky enough to pick up the Confrontation...

Re: Alternate Sculpts

I mean, that's exactly why I went through and made my spreadsheet in the first place - my group wanted a way to play with a bunch of the units but there were a lot we couldn't find or were too...

Re: Alternate Sculpts

Those look fantastic! I had looked at those minis as potential Tomb Skeleton proxies because of how cool they looked and overlooked that there were exactly enough sculpts to be used for the Skeletons...

Re: Alternate Sculpts

I just managed to get the pictures onto my computer, so I'm trying to figure out how to upload them here. If you don't remove the base it's attached to, it fits to the edge of Charos' base (I believe...

Re: Alternate Sculpts

For those interested in other Racheim proxies, the Reaper Bones Chimera (Reaper ID: 77257) is pretty similar in size and look (I have it and have looked at it relative to my double-bases and on the...

Re: Index of Classic Heroscape .stl files

Something like that is actually what I was looking at putting together to help with this as well. Is it better to aim for 40 images, or 50, because after White Knight's recommendations I was planning...

Re: Index of Classic Heroscape .stl files

Thank you!

For the picture taking, is it necessary to rotate the background newsprint as well as the figure, or can I just rotate the figure on the background to get all the photos? I have some...
