Re: Colorado Springs Heroscape Club

Errr....not well, actually. I set up and waited for an hour and half and no one else showed. A few of the regulars had schedule conflicts and that was known in advance, but I was hoping for just one!...

Re: Colorado Springs Heroscape Club

The scenario I'm playtesting is self-contained. But I'm assuming there will be other games going on as mine's only three player.

Re: Colorado Springs Heroscape Club

Yup, 250 point armies, very fast games, three different maps, no glyphs.

Re: Colorado Springs Heroscape Club

They did a tournament this past Saturday (I got 2nd place!) but I didn't think to post it here beforehand. I'll try to let everyone here know about the next one.

Colorado Springs Heroscape Club

Petrie's Family Games (http://www.facebook.com/PetriesGames) in Colorado Springs hosts a Heroscape Club every Tuesday starting at 4pm. I've put it in the Events Calendar as well.

This coming...

odbo255 - Thanks for the great picks! You guys just don't know how pleased I am every time I see or hear that someone else has built it. So cool!

Re: Dr Who anyone?

Are you watching in the US? I am, so I've only seen up to the "Vampires of Venice". I think the point with Rory is that the Doctor has learned from his mistakes with recent companions and is being...

Re: The Sunken Crypt

Interesting ideas. Please post some pics if you try that out.

For my tastes, the scenario is the right length time-wise. That, to me, is the key balancing act. But I can definitely understand how...

Re: The Sunken Crypt

It sounds crowded - especially Adventure Area 3. Maybe swap out units for beefier enemies? It would be good to use some of the new wave's units.

I'd definitely recommend playing with with the...

Re: Dr Who anyone?

It was actually one episode and a behind-the-scenes special. I thought the new Doctor's debut was very good! Nice and scary while being fun and funny. Very good start to the season.

Re: Shadow Tiles question

Also, remember that shadow tiles cannot be stacked on top of other zero-height tiles like water or ice.[/quote]

Right, but even if a Shadow tile were on top of a Lava Field tile a figure on the...

Thanks, Porkins, I'm glad you enjoyed it!

SgtHulka...it's in the works. I haven't had much time for hobbies lately, but I hope to get on it soon.

Re: Three Battlefields MS3 Teaching Aid - Playtesting Needed

AliasQTip, that's how I prefer to teach as well.

This map is intended to teach a large number of people quickly without needing a huge amount of terrain and table space. If you aren't teaching 5...

Re: Heroscape Lessons for Kids...who to pick?

I know you were planning on more than two players per map, but here's what this thread inspired me to come up with (http://www.heroscapers.com/community/showthread.php?p=1050345#post1050345). I hope...

Three Battlefields MS3 Teaching Aid - Playtesting Needed

This thread (http://www.heroscapers.com/community/showthread.php?t=29606) inspired me to attempt to make more than one small map out of the MS3:BFTU set to help people teach Heroscape. Here's what I...

Re: Ask the Design Team thread.

Awesome! Have you considered creating Uncommons that have some synergy with other copies of the same Uncommon? I, like most HSer, will own multiple copies of the same Uncommon anyway (since they're...

Re: Heroscape Lessons for Kids...who to pick?

I agree that 2vs2 is better than a free-for-all. The problem with any 4-player game is going to be the wait time between turns - especially for kids.

But look at it this way, you're going to have...

Re: Heroscape Lessons for Kids...who to pick?

I understand that you probably have space and time limitations, but I'm worried that the "2 players per army" thing is recipe for disaster. I saw two adults try to share an army a couple weeks ago...

Re: One Quick Question

It's basically a unique you can have multiple copies of. You need to mark the cards and the figures so you know which card is for which figure. But for all other purposes (glyphs, special attacks,...
