Re: Heroscape 2nd Edition is here!
new walls, New Walls, NEW WALLS
Very excited about these ruins pieces. Modular? EVEN BETTER.
I hope not lol. I've yet to break any of my FotA wall pieces trying to get them apart, but I...

Re: Heroscape 2nd Edition is here!
We just need to get to the Forgotten Forest already. We have been walking there for 12 years, this is worse than Oz.[/quote]
Well good news; captions suggest that's what the Monday plants are...

Re: The minis will not be a sea of unpainted gray
This has been discussed ad nasuem in the big 2.0 thread. Plenty of pro/anti sentiments voiced, and the reasons for the change spelled out over and over in that thread. I think the bulk of it is in...

Re: Heroscape 2nd Edition is here!
I actually hope that is not the actual scale, looking at the Kyrie. Could have trouble finding room to store all this new terrain if we're getting this many different items in such large sizes. ...

Re: Heroscape 2nd Edition is here!
I'm definitely curious as to the nature of the new cards in general, and what form they may take/what streamlining of the original game materials we may see in 2.0 -- for instance, I've seen...

Re: Heroscape 2nd Edition is here!
Cut the plastic packaging out entirely for all I care. I'm just excited about new 'Scape. If I don't get it see the specific innards of any given, set, oh well. We have the internet for that.

Re: Heroscape 2nd Edition is here!
Music to my ears. I'm here for the units of course, the new stuff looks interesting, but the terrain is what I'm most excited for. Can't wait to see what we get in that regard.

Re: Heroscape 2 Prediction Thread
Two mini-Master sets to get a pile of terrain and two flwshed-out factions, two other factions + a smattering of General-aligned units in the figure packs, and one RttFF-esque "good terrain + common...

Re: Heroscape 2nd Edition is here!
Resurrecting my account that lapsed into "lurk back for news (just in case) every six to ten months" long ago during college because I just heard the news, and was blown away. And then spent a good...

Re: Nirek's Map Thread
I think the drop in the height on the sides isn't that bad, and gives the two short rocks in the middle some better usefulness now that they've got more relative height on the surrounding area....

Re: Nirek's Map Thread
Ah, well yeah without playing it's just theoryscaping. But to note, limiting ranged units would be because they can't stay camped. The ranged are going to go for that height so they'd have the +2 on...

Re: Nirek's Map Thread
Bringing the rocks down to a height-2 outcropping would definitely help. Height 2 rocks won't give you height advantage over everyone, but it will at least give you some height over someone holding...

Re: Proto's Maps--Two Map Updates, 10/17
Alright, more new stuff. To start with, I just tweaked Ecdinox Pass a little more, nothing extreme. Playtests on it so far have gone well, and I'm looking forward to getting some more rounds on it...

Re: Proto's Maps--"Ecdinox Pass" Overhaul, 10/13
Thanks for the review, Arathorn! I'm a little surprised it went over so well in your match--I made that before I paid much attention to actual competitive design in maps, and honestly didn't spend...

Re: Proto's Maps--"Ecdinox Pass" Overhaul, 10/13
Thanks, Aragorn! I'm glad you liked the Ruins, it was a map I had made based on specs and a concept given by Andyman up here before he got banned the first time. I only played on it once, so you'll...
