Editing can be a good thing.
The key word there is 'abuse'. It's a very useful feature, but like anything else, if it's abused it can be annoying.

I Love This Game!
It's great until you get to many expansions. I have it, and it's a blast until you get three or four expansions, then it gets a little too complicated for all but the most dedicated.

Maybe this should be clarified in the official FAQ? I would never play like this, but I could see how a rules lawyer would argue their point. (We all know they love loopholes)
