Re: The Book of Crossbones (Initial Playtesting)

Captain America, Batman, Conan....

Lots of theme breaks there.

Odd thought, what if it just worked against squad figures? Nice and simple, won't get much use, but, then again, it looks like...

Re: The Book of Crossbones (Initial Playtesting)

So maybe a roll of 16 with +7 boosts? That's a roll of 16 for an enemy Unique, and a roll of 9 for enemy Commons and your Uniques.
I like that a lot. I definitely would want to keep the...

Re: The Book of Hrognak (Mounted)

That doesn't surprise me, it's a loan word, basically - initially Arabic or Indian I believe. I don't think any western-European culture has actually used animals that such a contraption could be...

Re: The Book of Hrognak (Mounted)

The howdah is the platform, not the dino, chap. :) The dino is something like a triceratops (not sure if it's any specific dinosaur, but something along those lines).
Howdahs are platforms placed...

Re: The C3G Cave - Hangout

So did I, and it was. :)
Now we can talk about how amazingly, god-level funny it was just to irritate the ever-living hell out of everyone who missed it.

Re: The C3G Cave - Hangout

Really sorry. Didn't cross my mind that children might be here.
No worries! :-) Like I said, definitely funny and one word short of being just fine.
Technically, you are if we include fractions, unless you're typing this at the exact moment you were born on your birthday. ;)

Re: The Book of Phantom Stranger

I feel like the numbers you you are looking for are over 50...that's my father in law for sure. My wife always fussed at him. We bought him a smart phone a few years ago we he still acts like he...

Re: The Book of Phantom Stranger

I'd just like to point out that, as a woman born in '98:
1) I've never owned a Smart Phone, or, by extention, any mobile games (though I am a fan of a large number of PC games, generally RTSes and...

Re: The Book of Phantom Stranger

That's fair enough. I should have specified that that's more of a formal writing rule than casual (I'll begin sentences with a conjunction on the forums all the time; it's practically conversation)....

Re: The Book of Phantom Stranger

In the bio:
'But' is a conjunction, and sentences shouldn't begin with conjunctions. In both cases, it could use tweaking it. Changing it to 'However,' (note the comma) is probably the simplest way,...

Re: The C3G Cave - Hangout

In all seriousness - quozl, thanks for pointing that out. Thought it may be no good for the chaps over there, it's going to be bloody invaluable for me. Thanks! :)

Re: The Book of Crossbones (Breathing Period)

Okay, this'd be my take:

BRUTALITY
When Crossbones attacks an adjacent figure, if he rolls more attack dice than the defending figure would roll defence dice, the defending figure rolls one fewer...

Re: The Book of Crossbones (Breathing Period)

At this point I'm almost failing to see the point of the power, honestly. It works against comparatively few units (I know it's a lot, but you have to think about what's drafted too), it's a minor...

Re: The Long eared bat's Customs

Re: The Book of Crossbones (Breathing Period)

Technically, he can't protect himself with ants because they aren't Small or Medium (they'd make for a bit of a crappy shield, quite frankly! :D), but all else agreed.

I understand your concern. In the HelmAverse I used a similar power on Human Torch called Reckless Teammate but tied the randomness to the initiative roll rather than to every turn of an Order...
