Re: Acquire

Acquire is one of the best board games ever made. I've played it for over 20 years, and it hasn't lost its lustre.

I've played many of the different versions, and the version that I own from 1995...

Re: Fellow D and Ders unite!!

I used to play AD&D, 1st edition I think, 25 years ago, but I just got back into D&D through 4th edition. It is a great improvement over the the D&D I grew up playing.

I prefer 'roll playing'...

Re: What's wrong with marvel?

Heroscape benefits from Marvelscape, and in my case, Marvelscape benefited from Heroscape. Since I started with Marvelscape, it is 'Classicscape'. Heroscape was a stretch for me, but I grew to like...

Re: wolves of badru special attack

I just read the new FAQs and it does not cover the pounce rule due to a vanishing figure. The FAQ does state on the last page that Cyprien or the Zombies do not get credit for the kill if the wolf...

Re: wolves of badru special attack

You are playing incorrectly.

Height advantage for the defending figure would be played just like any other ranged attack. If the defending figure is higher than the Wolf's position when starting...

Re: wolves of badru special attack

We play that neither figure gets height advantage. The wolf is falling on the defending figure, so the defender clearly does not get a height advantage. The wolf also does not get a height advantage...

Re: Players who got hooked through Marvelscape.

I got hooked through MarvelScape, although in all honesty, it was given to me as a gift, and I likely would have gotten hooked on HeroScape through whatever master set I was given as a gift.

Re: Movie: Hancock

Hancock is a great Super Hero movie. I loved the premise that everyone knew he was a Super Hero and that in the beginning of the movie, he just didn't give care about the damage and destruction that...

Re: Go, Speed Racer, Go!

Speed Racer was awesome! Ignore the critics on this one. It took all of the great parts of the old cartoon and made them better!

Re: heroscape family

My advice is to continue to playing with your sister as much as possible. The more she plays, the better she will get. My 10-year old daughter became a big fan after playing the Hulk with Rage...

Re: Your favorite Prog bands (aka what is ProgRock?)

Seconded! They just so happen to be my favorite band of all time!
Floater is my second favorite band and they're considered art metal, so I do think they would be included.[/quote]

Re: Weather Effects/Natural Disasters

I like the natural disasters idea, but agree with the impact on squads. How about the characters with 1 life being stunned for one or more rounds depending on the disaster instead of being killed?

While the mechanic you introduce would...

Airborne Elite are definitely my favorite squad, and I am looking forward to trying this house rule. I almost feel guilty with the amount of destruction my guys have dealt to my opponents.
