Re: Betrayal by Ryguy

Honestly, most people probably are caught up on VC lore. I'm sure I'm in the minority there. But that being said, I like to write my fan fictions from the stand point of an outsider reading them,...

Re: Website Issues (With Mysterious Disappearing Final Page)

Uhh... I think I found a plethora of bots.

I was reading a new fan fiction and noticed two new members viewing it, one after the other. Because members being in the fan fiction forum is such a...

Hey ryguy266 ! Welcome to our small corner of HSers!

I'm a writer myself, so I definitely understand your desire for feedback. It's the only way to truly test yourself and get better. On that...

I have experience with this, and they do NOT get notified if you edit it in. Only if the mention is in the original posting.

Re: The Fall of Feylund

I think I know why you had the reaction to that scene you did. It is not (currently) a set up for anything in book 4, but explaining why Aranthar let Alfimir go might dip a little too heavily into...

Re: The Fall of Feylund

Glad you enjoyed it AMIS! I'm not sure I'm understanding what you're saying in the above though... you would have preferred Alfimir to ask why Aranthar will let him go so that Aranthar could give a...

Re: The Fall of Feylund

His hand got injured, and it was said he'd have to learn to use his left for some things, but to be honest I kind of forgot about it. That being said, it makes sense from his point of view: learning...

Re: The Fall of Feylund

:headshake: Is this incidental quality? Did you not see what you were building with Dilmir's internal conflict? Or is it impostor syndrome? If not, try to replicate this lack of quality for next...

Re: The Fall of Feylund

Your thoughts were so long that I literally had lunch in the middle of reading them. ;) But that's a good thing, I love the detail. I also have quite a bit in the form of replies:

The way magic...

Re: The Fall of Feylund

Definitely true. I'm not sure where that started, because I used to be able to write nothing but filler.

This was definitely something I was aware of while writing. To be honest, I could have...

Wha... what? :wtf: Does walking her from training not count as walking her back from training? Did the first sentence originally say something else? Is it referring to the three months away from...

Re: The Fall of Feylund

Thanks for the feedback TAF, keep it coming. Although I have to say I keep having this reaction whenever your early comments come in; because you speculate about what might come later, and invariably...

Re: The Fall of Feylund

I hope so too. ;) As far as length goes, it's up in the air. It entirely depends on how many subplots I can weave into it, plus how long the main plot(s) take. It could be a quick 50 page dash or a...

Re: The Fall of Feylund

It was 114 pages of unbroken text. The Curse was 98 if I remember. So a tad longer. That 150 page prediction was from when I was still trying to squish two stories into one (see my blog).

Ahh, thanks! I like taking obscure details and forcing them to the front of the stage and seeing what happens. I'm shocked anyone else still remembers that prompt, though.[/QUOTE]

Re: Nether World Rising - Chapter 3

I genuinely have no memory of this at all for some reason, but I'll echo EL. It would be awesome to have more active fan fictions in here. I've added this to the index.
