Re: The Pre-SoV Workshop

Yeah, tbh, that's my one concern - not sure where you'd place him that felt right, since he is beefier than 7000. Is it worth popping him next to 9000? Is he beefier than him? 10000?

Re: The Pre-SoV Workshop

He certainly looks far more like an Utgar Soulborg than a Vydar one to me. Not sure about being a Deathwalker specifically, though I'd love to see more of the Deathwalker progression.
The 1...

Re: C3G Playtesting Sign-Ups – Seeking New Testers!

Is the version of her you guys are making going to use a gun, magic, or her bare claws? Wondering if I should put the Grimorum Arcanorum, a Particle Beam Cannon, or nothing in her claws. (Considered...

Re: The Book of Nemesis

Any suggestions for a mod for this guy, Tornado? I can only find one copy of his mini online and it's over sixty quid!

Tornado, how many Brit-Cits do you recommend having in a collection?

Re: Cosmic Terrain Brainstorming Thread

You'd need to find a way to not make Magneto or Graviton ludicrously OP on a Helicarrier map, but I like it. Definitely want to get Sky and Underwater working at some stage.

Re: C3G Promotions Dept. - SSE 64 - BATTLE FOR ATLANTIS

To be fair, some Terminators of Termight, a spell for Nemesis and a member of Credo would make a great follow-up. :)

Re: The Book of Emma Frost

Fair enough, and I appreciate that. Still, I hope you read my whole message - I think what I'm saying with regards to the culture as a whole is relevant.

Re: The Book of Emma Frost

That's a fair enough argument. Again, my refrain of the last few day - context is everything.

Yeah, but there's plenty of people (me included) who do feel uncomfortable about how much of the media panders to the 'male gaze' as it's known.[/quote]

I'm a 52 year old white heterosexual man. I...

Re: The Book of Emma Frost

I don't, but I have heard of crap like that before, and, honestly, I don't like that kind of thing either. That also feels demeaning and uncouth, to me.

Not saying that (well, they don't in...

Re: The Book of Emma Frost

Thing is, though, I'm honestly not convinced the Spider-Man ones were designed to titilate or objectify so much as they're just genuinely bad art. :)
(Not that I'm blaming the artist of the...

Re: The Book of Emma Frost

Still maintain they're contextually different. Rippling muscles on a man are often used as a symbol of power (see Conan), whereas revealing clothes on women are usually used for objectification.

Re: The Book of Durham Red - Final Editing

Didn't even see that! Looked better from a cursory glance. Still seems better to me - the blink-and-you'll miss it nipple is at least the only unfortunate thing here.

Re: The Book of Mystique (I)

I agree that it might not be the best art for a card for a character in a wargame, but honestly, when you consider it's art of someone crawling up a bed seductively with bedroom eyes, it could be a...

Re: The Book of Poison Ivy (I)

Seriously,...
