Re: Jaz1597's LOTR Customs: Now With Mumak! (Updated 2/12/10

A few people have been asking for my blanks, and I'm happy to oblige (they're really nothing special). When I get a chance, I'll upload them.

Is that what you're looking for?

Re: Jaz1597's LOTR Customs: Now With Mumak! (Updated 2/12/10

Hey JESUSFREAK, I'm afraid I'm still super busy with other projects. As I mentioned, I'd love to get involved in some sort of C3G-like project, but I simply don't have the time to devote to this...

Oh man, I'd love to! I really have no excuse considering this is only two towns away. Let me see what I can do. I'm a maybe for now...

Re: Sherman's Lord of the Rings customs: Conan the Cimmerian

So, I just got my HeroClix starter set yesterday, and I have mixed feelings.

I'm a huge fan of the SaberTooth sculpts and have been collecting them for years. The Olog Hai was a disappointment....

Re: George R. R. Martin (as well as other recommendations)

I agree with what you said in the spoiler section. I thought the same thing while reading Feast, it has become his MO. What I meant by it being a waste is the lead up chapters to that moment. When...

Re: George R. R. Martin (as well as other recommendations)

I actually liked seeing that scene from both Sam and Jon's POV. It was interesting to see what they were thinking, as well as the things they each almost said, but didn't.

I am so jealous! I would absolutely have gone to that show if I lived on the left coast...

I did get the chance to see APC a couple weeks ago though. They were amazing.

Re: George R. R. Martin (as well as other recommendations)

I responded to your comments within the spoilers in italics.

Spoiler-free though...I read the series for the third time before reading ADWD, and I enjoyed the fourth book a lot more this time. I...

Re: George R. R. Martin (as well as other recommendations)

So...what did everyone think of ADWD? Spoiler-free of course....

I was pretty satisfied. Sure, there were some big cliffhangers, and the narrative was choppier than I might have hoped, but I still...

Are there any sleeves that actually fit the cards though? The last time I looked into that it didn't seem like anyone had found anything that fit properly.
Re: Jaz1597's LOTR Customs: Now With Mumak! (Updated 2/12/10

I actually really appreciate it. Unfortunately, this project has fallen by the wayside a little bit, what with other commitments. I'm glad someone is getting use out of these!

I think it would be...

Re: Jaz1597's LOTR Customs: Now With Mumak! (Updated 2/12/10

Thanks for the feedback! It's been a while since I did any playtesting, but the Moria units were based off of the Grut Orcs. I'll have to do some more playtesting, but if they're as overpowered as...

I can't wait for these to be released. When they are I'll probably make your cards into a Heroscape version and use them. That is, if you don't mind. ;)
Of course I don't mind. That's why I...

Re: Jaz1597's LOTR Customs: Now With Mumak! (Updated 2/12/10

Thanks! Unfortunately, I've been busy with some other projects. Although the Hobbit figures are complete, I'm still working on the cards (I know...it's been over a year).

I haven't come up with a...

Re: George R. R. Martin (as well as other recommendations)

^I was just going to mention this. It's an understandable cut. The books will always be best, but I'm still in love with the show.

Re: George R. R. Martin (as well as other recommendations)

Actually, that reminds me in a roundabout way. Was it only the first episode where they named the locations when we first saw them? I'm very familiar with the books, and I don't find it confusing,...

Agreed on both of these. My wife was annoyed that Littlefinger was the one to tell it.

Re: George R. R. Martin (as well as other recommendations)

I have that same fear. I guess we'll see if it's just an episode 3 and 4 thing, or if the whole season shares the same pace. All I know is, my wife is now 500 pages into A Game Of Thrones (finally!)...

Re: George R. R. Martin (as well as other recommendations)

Littlefinger is short in the book. On the plus side the guy they got portraying him (Aidan Gillen) was great in The Wire.

I totally agree with you on Payne. The guy didn't seem fearsome enough....

Re: George R. R. Martin (as well as other recommendations)

There was a brief shot of Ghost in episode two (you could see him in the wide shot when they made camp on the way to the Wall), but I missed him last night.

And Littlefinger isn't exactly as I...
