Re: Unit Strategy Review: How to use the Zombies of Morindan

Since we're talking about a squad figure average damage is irrelevant. All that matters is the chance of getting a kill.

So, onslaught gives a 90.6% chance of getting the kill. Each individual...

Re: 2019 C3V Playtest Tournament (Round 4 until 10/13)

Dysole got the win. Early on my Mohicans couldn't hit on any attacks against the runners. I did kill a Sentinel but that really didn't do me much good other than to get it away from me. By...

Re: 2019 C3V Playtest Tournament (Round 4 until 10/13)

Dysole and I should be going in 45 minutes or so. I have Dysole's Mohicans; Dysole has the Wildwoods.

Toogwick_tuk Dysole

I just want to say, before dice-offs happen, that if I'm matched up with one of you (or if I'm not for that matter) in the next round, I'd prefer we play with the latest...

Agreed. Maybe we're just old.[/QUOTE]

With the disclaimer that I, too, am old, I also agree. I am theoretically on the discord but it's just too disorganized for me to contribute. The Facebook...

Re: Alternate Sculpts

If that's for the old Ram box, that's a great deal.

Re: Alternate Sculpts

Didn't someone do a full repaint of the knights of Weston in Hawthorne style? That would make a great alternative card for Knights of Blackgaard.

Re: Alternate Sculpts

This is not really correct. We are in discussions about starting card creation on alternative sculpts. D_S is just a bit impatient. ;) That's fine, though: always good to get feedback from the...

Re: 2019 C3V Playtest Tournament (Round 3 until 9/29)

Returning to our regular programming:

I played Flash last night. I took my Acolyte build and he took his Roman/12th build.

After grabbing both glyphs (Valda/Wannok), I went for a Corvor rush. ...

Re: 2019 C3V Playtest Tournament (Round 3 until 9/29)

FWIW I assure you that not everyone who does playtesting for game development agrees with this. But anyway:

If you accept that we work from qualitative reactions to the games, then your...

Re: 2019 C3V Playtest Tournament (Round 3 until 9/29)

So, I didn't have any hand in organizing this event, and I don't speak for the playtesting department, but I disagree with you on a pretty fundamental level, infectedsloth. And I think this...

Re: 10 Points Under - Heroscape Casting Videos

Yeah, I realized later that the non-placement of the third Roman up front on turn 3 was probably to avoid the potential of a 3-hit with Force Orb. Also, possibly, you wanted to stick with moving...

Re: What Board Game Are You Currently Playing?

caps came over a week back and we played it again; it's a good game for sure. Kinda feels like a very grown-up version of Smash-Up. Dice+Draw does create a fair amount of random chance influence,...

Re: The Book of Cathar Spearmen

I would recommend pricing them at 90 points in your home games if you want to adjust them. (Of course, I'd recommend pricing Raelin at 140 at least, so the Cathars are hardly alone in being strong.)...

Re: The Book of Nightshade (Suicide Squad) (vote final editi

Do we have a standing ruling on whether verbiage like this prevents "instead of taking a turn" powers from working? I assume it does, but if it doesn't it opens up some silly options here,...

Starting in 10 minutes or so. We'll see if I made a terrible enough demon army.

Re: Reverse the Whip Army Archetypes

I think it's mostly been people not at Gencon that have been throwing out alternatives. If it were up to me we'd run a different format, to be sure, but I agree that the 6 round alternating RTW was...

Re: Reverse the Whip Army Archetypes

This was one of the the most predictable year to date in terms of the anticipated people making day 2. There were some new faces like JohnnyFrisbee but it was a lot of the consistent performers......

Re: Gencon 2019 Results

Bad news: I only got results slips from the 16 players that made day 2. No result slips from the rest, so no records. Anyway... here's the non-qualifying armies I have. If people want to chime in...

Re: The Book of Chucky (Charles Lee Ray) (Breathing)

EDIT: superninja'ed!

OK, so my suggestion would be:

Split the carried/disengage part of Barbie mode into its own power
Flesh out the Barbie Mode description to explain the engagement...
