Re: Sculpt Polls! 28. Gladiatrons

Claws in the air.

Speaking of which, a cool custom would be to put a little champagne glass in his upraised claw.

Re: Ebay "deal of the day"...

I agree that ebay would definitely nail this guy if he was cheating.

Stowoodbury has several things going for him.

Service: If I recall correctly, a lot of the figs he sends are individually...

Re: Sniper Sam!

Go for it! Jandar helped Sgt. Drake twink with his robo arm and grapple gun, so why not give this guy a sniper rifle? Looks wacky and cool.

Re: Ebay "deal of the day"...

I think the uncomfortable reality is that prices are just going up to insane levels. It seems to be a general trend. HS has a very active community, the tiles are useful for many different games,...

Re: Ebay "deal of the day"...

stowoodbury is a high volume seller, so you will see more freakish sales like the $100 Zetacron simply because he sells a lot. There are plenty of decent sales through him, and I have had the good...

Re: New Scaper

In my opinion, ROTV is the best value in terms of quantity of pieces, power of pieces, and gobs of terrain. Swarm of the Marro is great, too. Battle for the Underdark is a really cool master set,...

Re: Unit Debate #64 -- Me-Burq-Sa vs. Marro Warriors

Yeah, love to play him with Romans. That's the reason to take him. He gets that free bonding activation, whereas MW would just sit on the sidelines. Nice to have a little ranged firepower to back...

Re: The Orphanage - Free Figure Exchange

Opening the thread to trading would be great. I agree that it would result in these harder to find items being listed.

Re: advice on how to spend budget

Right, right. If you are looking for power squads and combos, you read the list to see which units are well regarded, what synergies they require to be used effectively, and then you compare your...

Re: advice on how to spend budget

I totally agree with your comments. It depends on the setting. I have two Raelins just for the purpose of letting my opponents have access to this awesome figure.

Re: advice on how to spend budget

I'm a fairly new player and I can't stop praising RotV. Dollar for dollar it gave me the most value. It has a critical mass of terrain that allows you to construct a nice big map. The figures have...

Re: HS Trade Thread & Good Traders

Actually, it doesn't matter whether or not he's a business. DungeonMaster's main problem is that Porkin's post did not constitute a contract and therefore Porkins is not bound to it. My 2 cents...

Re: HS Trade Thread & Good Traders

I'm looking to purchase through PayPal:

a single Marro Drone orphan.

I'm rehabilitating a collection I got off eBay and some of the squads are incomplete. I'm not picky about which...

Smile Re: The Book of Sacred Band

I'm still a bit of a noob, but I've taken a liking to these guys. Not having to clump means you get to move faster, whereas Romans sometimes have to give up a space or two of movement in order to...

Re: How to Clean Terrain Tiles Safely?

Surprisingly, no. I bought some snow tiles that were clearly from a smoker's house. The stink washes right out with a firm scrubbing.

Following up re: figures, I have something to report, as...

Re: How to Clean Terrain Tiles Safely?

Just to clarify...water and soap are safe for tiles, but are they safe for the figures as well? Just wanted to make sure before I gave my Aubrien Archers a bath...

EDIT: So I just experimented...

Re: How to Clean Terrain Tiles Safely?

A fellow port lover! Nothing like a little Graham's 20 Year or Six Grapes with a board game. I usually set my drink on a stool next to me to prevent spilling on my stuff.

During the interim...

How to Clean Terrain Tiles Safely?

So, I got some heroscape terrain tiles, but they are a bit musty. Any tips on washing them? Are they harmed by soap and warm water?

Re: Ebay "deal of the day"...

These listings are BIN. They show up for 5 minutes, then zap, they are gone.

The funny thing with BIN lots without cards or without figure lists is that you have to examine the pictures closely...

Re: Ebay "deal of the day"...

No kidding. I saw this too  Someone got the steal of the century! :D[/quote]
I believe that is an example of smart-bidding. Don't bid anything at all until the last second, or the price will...
