Re: C3G Unit Discussion - Wave 13 ; Booster 3 ; Part 2

Non's card still reads "Identity" in the Secret Identity space.

Re: C3G Unit Discussion - Wave 12 ; Part 3

Hugo is one of the most fun designs in C3G history, imho.

Re: C3G Strategy Discussion - Iron Man Stealth Suit/Dugan

I was going to echo Ronin's comments on Dum Dum. I remember when I playtested him during designing that I liked his toolkit but found it worked better on the card than on the battlefield. He might...

Re: C3G Strategy Discussion - Brainiac

Probably not that competitively viable, but he's a lot of fun to play, if not play against.

Re: C3G Strategy Discussion - Rhino

He's an interesting comparison piece to Juggernaut. Very similar vibe, but I think Rhino is a lot better than ol' Marko. And a lot cheaper.

Re: C3G Strategy Discussion - Chameleon

Chameleon is one of those figures who's card is so clever and seems so fun when you read it, but has very little power in reality because at his core his power of taking away order markers generally...

Re: C3G Strategy Discussion - Electro

Pretty stout special attack too. Only issue is he's probably not going to survive more than 1-2 attacks in the superscape world.

Re: C3G Strategy Discussion - Iron Man Mark IV

Sure, the issue is Hasbro Iron Man is pretty similar, costs 10 points less, and synergizes with both Fan4 and really benefits from Stat boosters like Starlord and Cap.

The second special can be a...

Re: C3G Strategy Discussion - Iron Man Mark III

It sucks that this a card dripping with Theme-y goodness... that will rarely hit the battlefield because Theme-y goodness doesn't always translate to playability.

Re: C3G Strategy Discussion - Iron Man Mark II

Honestly a pretty good deal for 150 points. More than likely you're going to move one figure a turn (keep in mind you can use it to move your own figures up, too), and a decent normal attack if you...

Re: C3G Strategy Discussion - Vixen

She's definitely more fun than competitive. Fortunately, she's a lot of fun.

Re: C3G Strategy Discussion - Black Adam

You'll rarely not have fun when you're rolling 7 dice, and the lightning strike is a nice bonus. Courage of Mehen is nice for reducing incentive to target him with D20 powers. He's probably more...

Re: C3G Strategy Discussion - Gorilla City Warriors

I'm pretty far gone from the meta of C3G these days, but these guys were a ton of fun to play back in the day. Definitely punishing against heroes.

Re: C3G Strategy Discussion - Luke Cage

It's always bothered me that he has to roll at least 1 shield to get his power to work. It's not like he has to "set" his impenetrable skin. It's just impenetrable. Even if he doesn't see the...

Re: C3G Strategy Discussion - Hulk I

Hulk probably would have been better with a slower "cool off mechanic"... this is an example of a card being better thematically but worse mechanically than the original. It's the sort of thing that...

Re: C3G Strategy Discussion - Wonder Man

I've always been a little surprised his Personality is Loyal, when Wonder Man has had something of a treacherous past.

I've also always thought Celebrity Status should make it harder for commons...

Re: C3G Strategy Discussion - Quicksilver

I've always felt it was a little bit of DC bias that his move is so much less than Flash-type characters

Re: C3G Strategy Discussion - Super Skrull (Rl'nnd)

I really enjoy seeing the designers thoughts on the process and where the figure ended up when its their turn in this thread thanks for chiming in.

Haven't checked the Torch thread, what were...

Re: C3G Strategy Discussion - Super Skrull (Rl'nnd)

Another of my firsts! This one was a bit more fun of an LD in my memory because I had one under my belt and he went through the process a bit faster. (Believe it or not Torch went through a long...

Re: C3G Strategy Discussion - Human Torch (Jim Hammond)

I think this was my first C3G design, so he'll always have a special place in my heart. If he's against figures without much in the way of defensive powers, he'll pretty much always earn his points....
