Re: The Book of Crossbones (Breathing Period)

At this point I'm almost failing to see the point of the power, honestly. It works against comparatively few units (I know it's a lot, but you have to think about what's drafted too), it's a minor...

Re: The Long eared bat's Customs

Looking tonnes better (though I'm questioning if the doppelgänger really counts as a Halfling? I'm guessing it's meant to be some sort of magical illusion?) I really like this take, actually, and I...

Re: The Pre-SoV Workshop

That's a truly beautiful and unique mini. I hope you can make it work.

Re: The Book of Crossbones (Breathing Period)

Technically, he can't protect himself with ants because they aren't Small or Medium (they'd make for a bit of a crappy shield, quite frankly! :D), but all else agreed.

Re: The Pre-SoV Workshop

I don't agree. It is just a unique mechanism that hasn't been done before.[/QUOTE]
I agree and disagree. I don't think the idea's too customy, but it needs a lot more clarification and workshopping...

Re: Public Design Workshop

I understand your concern. In the HelmAverse I used a similar power on Human Torch called Reckless Teammate but tied the randomness to the initiative roll rather than to every turn of an Order...

Re: Public Design Workshop

Self-Importance as a concept isn't actually the worst power - it's a fun idea. I think it's got an unfortunate stigma due to the first character to have it (Penguin vI) being a bit crap and not...

Re: Public Design Workshop

Mother Box repair is really cool, and far from OP (Lizard is laughing at it...). Looking cool! :)

Re: The Book of Crossbones (Breathing Period)

Dice rolled at least gives him a chance of affecting a decent-ish number of characters if he can claim height. It almost becomes Kneel Before Zod-lite. I like that.
I'm definitely in favour of that...

Re: The Book of Crossbones (Breathing Period)

That was intentional.

For the record. I don’t like having stat boosters elevating him and don’t like the be defense option.

This would pigeon hole him more into a cap/Star-Lord army and...

Re: The Book of Crossbones (Breathing Period)

I mean, they're tagged on every design, aren't they?

I can't see what Karat's on about with this being 'borderline'. We've done this mechanic before, stronger, and he needs to be in melee and to...

Re: The Book of Crossbones (Breathing Period)

Yeah, this. It's situational (melee only and only against certain figures) and only half of what Adamantium Claws gives you all the time. Sure, it'll be nice against Flash or someone like that, but...

Re: The Book of Crossbones (Breathing Period)

I'd actually much prefer it if we could swing it so that it was affected by attack boosts. Seems more fun, more thematic, more tactical, IMO.

Re: The Book of Crossbones (Breathing Period)

Plus, it seems thematic to me. If Crossbones's combat ability improves, then he should be more willing to bully stronger characters. If he's attacking Nick Fury downhill, he'll be more confident and...

Re: The Book of Crossbones (Breathing Period)

That's a lot of effort to go to for a -1 attack effect.

Re: C3V Public Announcements

Bugger. I hate it when they run out before they're released. I can't even always guarantee picking them up quickly afterwards.
Ah, well. He's bound to turn up at some point.

Re: The Book of Crossbones (Breathing Period)

Honestly, why would he get this boost against anyone with Super Strength?
That'd be the simplest way to keep GLs and their ilk out of it.

I suggest running this one in sanctum, asap, for unspecified reasons!

Re: The Book of Lady Death

Did you ever play Classic? If so, Sonya's probably a good bet.
