Most definitely--that's why I was thinking Horrorclix zombies because you can get a lot of those pretty cheap, but Marro would work just as well if you ignore the guns. But basically any miniatures...

Just thinking out loud: Zombie heroes could be pretty easy to implement, you'd just have to create a card like a regular unique/common hero. The problem comes in how to play them. ...
