Re: Soldiers of Valhalla - nominations and discussion

To me they look sort of like... postmodern Marro. Somewhere between the pure organic, bio-engineered Marro from Classic and the ultimately cybernetic Havech.

Re: Soldiers of Valhalla - nominations and discussion

Thanks for you consideration. While some of those criticisms are pretty fundamental to the design (namely, Jandar and Warrior), I think there is enough that can be played with. We'll tweak...

Re: Soldiers of Valhalla - nominations and discussion

Paizo does not link their website to their stock. You must contact them directly to know what their current stock is. It is only relevant when they are sold out.
Really? I find they often...

Re: Soldiers of Valhalla - nominations and discussion

Paizo has the standard 99+ so I don't think availability is an issue at all. They're all at $16, though, which is the likely sticking point.

Re: Soldiers of Valhalla - nominations and discussion

They're literal - if you read Zelrig's bio it shows him as a sentient being, ruling rules over humans (or I guess Icarians?) who are forced to pay him tribute on a regular basis. They're definitely...

Re: Soldiers of Valhalla - nominations and discussion

I like Baron. I mean, it's sort of dumb to imagine dragons with a complex system of heredity, but we've already got Emperors and Princes. It's dumb in a good way. :p

Re: Soldiers of Valhalla - nominations and discussion

That's a fair point; it is a bit unrealistic. However, there's a few points of comparison among Small figures - the Axecutters have 4 attack against Large and Huge figures, the Goblin Cutters can...

I would like to nominate the Kobolds of Idona Keep, by the Boot Camp of Valhalla, for your consideration.

Re: Soldiers of Valhalla - nominations and discussion

The swirly cloak miniature (the Hellknight Signifier) actually looks a lot better in context. HERE (http://i.imgur.com/q1H2DxS.jpg) is a picture of it next to the Scourge. They're very much intended...

Re: Soldiers of Valhalla - nominations and discussion

The one with a visible face (the Dragon Legion guy) is a Triaxian (which are pale elf-type dudes). Honestly, though, if no one told me, I'd assume he was wearing a helmet that looks like a dude's...

Pretty exciting - the first new SoV figure in over a year! A new Mariedian is always an interesting prospect...

Re: Soldiers of Valhalla - nominations and discussion

I also assumed that Ashi-Dhulu could Devour and then move afterwards. The comparison to the Spidey-Sense is apt - precedent there says that special movement powers can be used outside of their...

Re: Soldiers of Valhalla - nominations and discussion

I think it's using "rage" as an action. Like, Rampage is raging, and the rage is given the descriptor "of destruction." Not just throwing a hissy fit, his raging is with the ultimate intent of...

Re: Soldiers of Valhalla - nominations and discussion

There's an additional 11 at Miniature Market (http://www.miniaturemarket.com/aberrations-33-half-elf-hexblade-u.html) but I'm seeing less than 20 on eBay. Paizo...

Re: Soldiers of Valhalla - nominations and discussion

Valkrill always seemed like a wildcard to me. Utgar getting more than he bargained for out of things... I feel like Vydar is closer to Utgar than Valkrill, though. At least Utgar has an ethos.

Re: Soldiers of Valhalla - nominations and discussion

Kira is a pretty thin, quick, "run and gun" Scout, while Karzai is a stout guy in fairly heavy armor toting a napalm cannon. I think it's to be expected that he's physically stronger (and more...

Re: Soldiers of Valhalla - nominations and discussion

Yep, it was Einar, Vydar, and Utgar vs. Ullar and Jandar in the beginning until wave 5 I believe. Then Vydar decided to go rogue around the time of wave 13.
:wtf:

I've never read that...

Re: Soldiers of Valhalla - nominations and discussion

Much hype for the new cards - high quality as always. Interesting to see the first "official" Raptorians... wonder how they fit with C3V's plans. :ponder:
