Re: Project Pokemon Design Thread: SANDSHREW!

If you want to go by game natures, we would one that raises Defense, or Spec. Def., and lowers Speed or Attack. Impish fits the bill as it raises Defense and lowers Special Attack. Another one that...

Re: Project Pokemon Design Thread: SANDSHREW!

Sandshrew is a mouse, and has a tendency to roll into a ball, so wouldn't his personality be "Timid", and I still like the Sand Attack wording that, I believe Kaiyu came up with.

Re: Project Pokemon Design Thread: SANDSHREW!

If we want to keep him to 30 or 40 we have to remove Fury Swipes, and Defense Curl shouldn't raise it up too much.

Re: Project Pokemon Design Thread: SANDSHREW!

Sounds better than before, and it shoudn't spike the cost nearly as much. This will bring it to a 70/80point figure I think.

Re: Project Pokemon Design Thread: SANDSHREW!

X-Scissor? I haven't heard of that. I got Fury Swipes and Fury Cutter confused, but i still don't like swipes on Sandshrew, It could raise his cost too much.

Edit: Found X-Scissor, its a DPPt...

Re: Project Pokemon Design Thread: SANDSHREW!

I am using the 3rd generation pokedex for data because Sandshrew is from Red/Blue/Yellow, and they remade that with FireRed/LeafGreen, so the FireRed/LeafGreen dex is better to use than the...

Re: Project Pokemon Design Thread: SANDSHREW!

I went with the 3rd gen dex, as we are nowhere near DPPt.

http://serebii.net/pokedex-rs/027.shtml

And I made a mistake, it is level 37, not 47

Re: Project Pokemon Design Thread: SANDSHREW!

Why are we adding Fury Swipes now? Sandshrew doesn't learn this until level 47, he is way past evolution by then, if we are to use it, use it on Sandslash. Also, kaiyu's updated wording sounds good....

Re: Project Pokemon Design Thread: SANDSHREW!

You do need to keep "if you roll 1-13 roll defense dice normally", it should have been on Charmander's card.

Re: Project Pokemon Design Thread: SANDSHREW!

Just read up on wording in Customizing Compendium, kaiyu's wording does sound more official, since it is based on an existing card's wording.

Re: Project Pokemon Design Thread: SANDSHREW!

Warlord's wording seems the best so far, now we just need NightSwipe to approve it.

Re: Project Pokemon Design Thread: SANDSHREW!

I think slash is his "normal" attack as it is.[/QUOTE]

The thing about slash is that it has a high critical ratio so you could give him slash as a special power and not a special attack and just...

Re: Project Pokemon Design Thread: SANDSHREW!

I think that defense curl should be saved for geodude. It is much more iconic of him.

Re: Project Pokemon Design Thread: SANDSHREW!

With Chardar's fix it sounds good to me.

Edit: Missed that normal attack line

Re: Project Pokemon Design Thread: SANDSHREW!

I see Sandshrew as a 20 or 30 point figure, for those people that have played the games, you know that he really wasnt that desirable.

Great idea Smokescreen should be a ranged version of sand...

Re: Project Pokemon Design Thread: SQUIRTLE!

On a slightly tangent note, I may have found suitable figures.

So again, we are just waiting for fiddler's confirmation, so far WA wording is the least bad.
