Re: Washington/Oregon

Well if Derek can make it I should be able to. I live closer than he does for sure.

Re: Alternate Sculpts

I snagged a few Venom Trolls (https://www.miniaturemarket.com/ddvmf-030.html) as solid alternates to the Zombie Hulk.

Re: The Pre-SoV Workshop

He is pretty pricey for the overall utility, it’s not a bad custom but doesn’t really fit current Marro and certainly not the Groks. I’d agree with Scytale’s assessment of the Cerebrilith making a...

Re: My Terrain is Crumbling!

I'm curious if a clear coat UV sealant would be worthwhile. I've spray painted some custom tiles as well and those are probably better protected.

Re: My Terrain is Crumbling!

I do use my lexan mat and of course there's always the mats I created to use and the Magic AotP boards to make setting up easier.

Re: The Pre-SoV Workshop

Yeah, Death Gaze as is may get used against some armies but not at all against others, the stats are worthwhile enough without it but still I'm not sure I'd use it over other Thralls. Seems like...

Re: Cracked Terrain

Yeah, I think the ones I had issues with were some stuff I bought from someone years back. There were some discolored water tiles in that bunch that were brownish. Had one of them shatter in my...

Re: Washington/Oregon

If we can get Longy418 to host a day at his place I'll be there or if we can get Guardian scheduled in. Given the weather it may be harder in Battleground unless Derek's shop can be used. I'm in...

Re: Index of Classic Heroscape .stl files

I downloaded all that He-Man stuff a few weeks ago myself. It's a nice collection.

Re: Soldiers of Valhalla - nominations and discussion

For me a new thrall should add something new, not just a new version of an attack similar to what already exists with two other thralls. Maybe if it were to play up the spider theme of the mini with...

Re: Index of Classic Heroscape .stl files

My Ender is a Christmas gift so I haven't even got that yet so I can't convince my wife to get another one before I even open my gift up. ;) I fully get where you're coming from though WK. ...

Re: Washington/Oregon

It can happen, just may be harder to get it at a game store. I think we had an event at Guardian a few years ago. I know one of the shops up in Seattle that we ran a tourney six or so years ago...

Re: Washington/Oregon

Reservations would need to be for several tables for maps to be built on which can be hard to reserve at Guardian on any day as they are always very busy. That's why we often play at someone's place...

Re: Soldiers of Valhalla - nominations and discussion

I think the question would be whether 30 points is a proper cost for the current design.

Re: Soldiers of Valhalla - nominations and discussion

I like the idea but it is faster than all current thralls which being small seems improper. That special attack definitely outclasses all of them as it isn't destroyed very easily.

Re: The Pre-SoV Workshop

I mean, yeah I could...but there actually is precedent against your claim. Both Ornak and Grimnak exist in classic scape as Gruts with no Disengage ability.

The idea/theme is still present that...

Re: The Pre-SoV Workshop

I guess my biggest question would be why a Durgeth Savage hero would lose the Hide in Swamp ability that seems to be their defining characteristic? Uzog seems like a giant mutant for a Durgeth, for...

Re: [Pod 1] UKUSHISA PRIDE (Blazing Firecats) - Playtesting

I was just expressing that if the desire was to want to boost them similarly to the B-11 that's going down and not up. Maybe that isn't the desire, I don't have a horse in this race but if I did I'd...

Re: [Pod 1] UKUSHISA PRIDE (Blazing Firecats) - Playtesting

That would make them weaker as their pride dies though, reducing their usefulness. Seems like the opposite of what you'd want.

Re: [Pod 1] UKUSHISA PRIDE (Blazing Firecats) - Playtesting

Does make them interesting mechanic. Opponent will have a tough time though as basically they will have to run away/kite but with them being so fast and if you use BFs in the middle or end of the...

Re: [Pod 1] UKUSHISA PRIDE (Blazing Firecats) - Playtesting

What about something like:

RAGING BLAZE
If the Ukushisa Pride destroyed at least one opponent's figure this turn, place a Blaze counter on their army card. At the end of their turn if Ukushisa...

Re: [Pod 1] UKUSHISA PRIDE (Blazing Firecats) - Playtesting

Maybe increase the boost to 2 attack dice and serif the makes them more useful. 5 attack dice is fairly strong for taking down big heroes.

I've not filled them in with while glue just yet. I may give it a go.
