Re: Sir Heroscape's customs
I am concerned about Agrith becoming less interesting with the changes. Now, with the Acolytes (why would you play him without?), he essentially has no downsides, just a Whirlwind, Flying 5-Attack...

Re: Sir Heroscape's customs
The name "Cover Fire" is already used by Skahen. I agree with Astro that neither version of the power is useful, at least until we get a defender Raptorian.
Support Fire is a no-go from a rules...

Re: Sir Heroscape's customs
I don't think it needs to or should with this version. Instead of "must," the player is encouraged to do so to heal back up. It puts the tension on the player to feel A-N's ravenous nature.

Re: Sir Heroscape's customs
Their ability would only matter for the initial turn, not the Overextend one. Though the fact that it's not obvious is a red flag for an common interaction.
Right now, A-N looks like mostly an...

Re: Sir Heroscape's customs
In my experience, the bonus movement those units get is huge when it comes to survivability and annoyance. Doing so minimizes the number of attacks they have to endure, which makes those d20 rolls so...

Re: Sir Heroscape's customs
How could I limit it to only ever getting +1 even if they’re next to multiple? Is it the “at least one” clause?[/QUOTE]
Hmm.. maybe "Shadow figures you control that are adjacent to at least one...

Re: Sir Heroscape's customs
I like the latest version of the Shadow Stalker. Shadow Wraith is more problematic, potentially. Might be too easy to use stacking defense boosts.

Re: Sir Heroscape's customs
I like this new direction, with two changes. First, merge Sustained into Bloodthirsty. There's no reason to make it a separate power. Second, increase his basic attack to 5. He only has a single...

Re: Sir Heroscape's customs
Don't complicate the faction. A passive move power would do exactly that. Make them at least somewhat worthwhile to activate, and they fit neatly into the faction.

Re: Sir Heroscape's customs
I like the Wraith. It fulfills a new role in the faction. I think Attack needs to be 3, though, to make it worth using. In general I think I'd rather make an attack than bringing up a defense...

Re: Sir Heroscape's customs
The Wraith is pretty neat, and a help to the faction in dealing with high-defense units. It fits with the general theme of the Shadows boosting each other as well. I don't really like the name...

Re: Sir Heroscape's customs
I think the "must be in the same army" rule is unnecessary. With the mechanics you wouldn't take one without the other anyway.
Otherwise I like the designs. Pretty solid overall. Why is one Huge...

I realized I needed something a little different for the faction. This power set I think is thematic in that it provides some really cool multi-attack potential, but only in the right setting...but...

Re: Sir Heroscape's customs
I have a general aversion to adding a multi-attack or multi-target hero to a bonding squad. That's dangerous territory, especially if they're all decent attacks. It's not unprecedented, though.

Mostly it's just strange. Why does just having Archers on the field give other Raptorians movements? And it has the problem you mentioned of the Archers being just as valuable sitting in the start...

Re: Sir Heroscape's customs
Making the Archer a mid-game unit isn't feasible with the current direction. You had it before by making them an order marker dump. That's about the only way, since a single attack of 2 isn't going...

Because everyone does bonding. Except (so far) the Raptorians. They have the unique Flocking thing. Why not play off of that instead of making them like everyone else?
You're thinking about it...

Re: Sir Heroscape's customs
I'll be frank: I don't think Raptorians should have bonding. It seems to me that you're doing it to make putting order markers on the Archer valuable, but there are other ways to do that, such as...
