Re: Soldiers of Valhalla - nominations and discussion

It sounds like 5/7/3/3 sounds like the way to go. Honestly, the bump to 3 Attack and 3 Defence just feels natural to me, but him having a lower range than everyone else... does feel a tad weird....

Re: Soldiers of Valhalla - nominations and discussion

Personally, looking at that sculpt, almost any defence number would feel justified to me - depending on how you work the design, I could see as high as 6 or as low as 1 and it wouldn't bother me....

Re: Soldiers of Valhalla - nominations and discussion

Tenacity doesn't feel like it represents Tenacity to me. Tenacity isn't doing better when you're already doing well - it's battling through and not giving up if you're doing poorly. Rather than an...

Re: Soldiers of Valhalla - nominations and discussion

I'm with PK here.
PK, stop worrying about getting past SoV. It's not worth it. Your custom is already good, and the class is important for theme and synergy. Personal bias gets in the way of 50% of...

Re: Soldiers of Valhalla - nominations and discussion

I'd keep her as a Lawman simply for the synergy it offers - I don't think she should be kept hermetically sealed away from thematic synergy with Clayton. Otherwise I'd be tempted by something like...

Re: Soldiers of Valhalla - nominations and discussion

5 point Uncommons sounds like a really bad idea, but 5 point hero? Could work quite well. Ixe did a fascinating one (https://www.heroscapers.com/community/showpost.php?p=2022341&postcount=397) a...

I take it you've never met Drizzt?[/QUOTE]
Vydar's a bit shady, so I reckon he could easily harbour a sort of 'splinter Drow' or Drow exile. From what I've gleaned (no D&D expert by any means) I...

Re: Soldiers of Valhalla - nominations and discussion

I have zero interest in guns (I'm not American :)), but my layman's perception would incline me to think that rifles are generally more powerful, longer ranged and more accurate, but a lot less...

Re: Soldiers of Valhalla - nominations and discussion

Skahen is a poor comparison - at a double attack of three, she's arguably better with it, even if he's more precise. The Krav and the Nakitas aren't heroes - they're squaddies, if admittedly elite...

Re: Soldiers of Valhalla - nominations and discussion

Doesn't account for Kaemon Awa's regular compound bow from Earth, though.

Re: Soldiers of Valhalla - nominations and discussion

Crossbows are pretty deadly, but there's, you know, a reason that military forces stopped using them as gunpowder became dominant. Given that a modern day pistol could probably outperform a crossbow...

Re: Soldiers of Valhalla - nominations and discussion

Yeah... when Kaemon Awa can, with a bow and arrow, perform the exact same attack at the exact same power that Q10 can with high-tech rockets, this seems a bit like an odd criticism.

I'm with Kinseth - at 50, I'd like him, right now, he's feeling a bit weak.

Re: Soldiers of Valhalla - nominations and discussion

I'm going to butt in here and say I strongly disagree there - since unit names are listed in all caps in Heroscape, without the periods there would be nothing to indicate that it's an acronym, which...

Re: Soldiers of Valhalla - nominations and discussion

• The total move of 7 compensates for the lack of range. A total of 4 attack dice are rolled, or since they have flying, and they can take height pretty easily, for a total of 6 attack dice, over the...

I've never played them, but I'm guessing he might pair well with the Nhah Scirh? A screen of melee who don't have to worry too much about getting blown up due to their SA resistance?
