Re: C3V Public Announcements

Could we have this conversation elsewhere? I’d like to think that when people get notifications about this thread that they are excited for announcements.

Thanks!

Re: C3V Public Announcements

Yes. Might be better than the Leukodaemon; might not. I know that we've checked that mini, though, so we know it's suitable.

Re: C3V Public Announcements

Hmm. Well, we have a whole thread for discussing alternates around here somewhere. . . :) But I'm not sure I'd endorse that one until I saw how it looked on a base. Might be problems.

Re: C3V Public Announcements

Well, those numbers are not great. I hope people got it when they could.

For myself, I intend to use my Drowning Devil for both designs. Though you could use the Star Spawn for both designs, too;...

I am a big fan of the design coming up that uses this guy, who we already announced:

Re: Alternate Sculpts

Ooh, that's a good idea. They could be used for the Civil War troops, too, for those who don't care too much about the era of the equipment.

Re: Soldiers of Valhalla - nominations and discussion

It would be tough to throw another dude when you're wielding a weapon in each hand.[/QUOTE]
Precisely.

I'm not sure that I'd endorse this theme for *any* mini, but that is the reason why I would...

Re: Soldiers of Valhalla - nominations and discussion

I really don't like the Dwarf Fling power. I don't like it thematically and I don't think the minis suggest it, anyway.

Re: CHOPS Poll: Entrée Finalists - QC3 Fall Contest - Vote 1

Congrats, mac122 . I know you received my vote, because, as I see it, Pleocyemata beautifully unified theme and mechanics with an interesting mini.

These were all strong and worthy contenders,...

Re: CHOPS Poll: Entrée Finalists - QC3 Fall Contest - Vote 1

I would love to see more votes, but I actually think this is a strong showing by the community. I'm excited and pleased that this competition drew votes from so many members of the forum.

Just...

Re: Sports: NFL

Yes! That is all true. Who knows what Vick would have looked like, if he hadn't had to break the mold himself?

But it's also fair to say that Jackson would not have performed as he has, on most...

Re: Sports: NFL

In 2006, Michael Vick rushed for 1,036 yards. That stands, today, as the single season record for a quarterback. Jackson is properly compared to Vick, who really created that mold.

Now, 13 years...

And I finished it. Exceptional programming. It's short, too, for those who don't like big bingeing commitments.

Re: Sports: NFL

Look, Bats.

If I was a Lions fan, I'd be jealous, too. Maybe even chiding a Ravens fan for sharing a big play against the lowly Bengals.

But you're talking about the quarterback who, last week,...

Re: TV: What Are You Watching?

Well, now I've watched the first few episodes of Season 2 of The End of the @#$king World, and it is fantastic. Completely true to Season 1. Love it.

The “fun to play” piece is the most important. Of course. It’s definitely a strong army.

Re: TV: What Are You Watching?

Oh, that's very interesting. The characters all look so shallow in the book. Avasarala doesn't even exist in Book 1, you might recall. Or, if the does, it was so fleeting that I forgot.

Re: TV: What Are You Watching?

I only read the first book. I don't intend to read any more of the series, because the one-dimensional characters - not just the minor characters, but the major ones too - are too distracting in the...

Re: Optimized Prime

Well, the discussion is about min-maxing. We can all agree that the 4th Mass. is a pretty boring army to play, because of the flow chart, and Stingers are not that much different. But the query is...

Re: Astro's Custom Units [Update 11/4/19: Seishin Samurai]

That's interesting that you considered uncommon in this role. It's one of the few times when I think such a decision would be truly justified by the concept.

I won't press the point (too hard),...
