I'll mention real quick that I've heard Geoff John's New 52 is a pretty good starting point for him and showcases Aquaman being a badass, so that may be the best bet...

I haven't read a Trinity centered comic yet. There are moments in the DCEU that are sheer awesome/epicness, but I can't recommend either of the movies as a whole, so I'll have to say the Justice...
