This would seem to limit the ability of Mad Hatter to carry multiple glyphs, unless its overridden in a specific scenario.
Sounds like some 'tough love' is needed to break the hat's spell! ...

The equipment glyph for the hats works well -- I've been experimenting with similar equipment glyph ideas for the Joker in my own games.
You could reduce the die roll by 1 for each space...
