'Aegis' does seem a bit good guy to me (as the word basically just means 'protection' when you're not talking about the military system). I could see maybe A.E.G.I.S., as sort of like an... ironic...

Honestly, I'd probably just drop his normal move to 5 and then give him something like the Quickblades' Vault power. More useful, less trapped in a miasma of corner cases, still plenty thematic.

Lots of things weren't phrases that ever occurred in Heroscape, until they did. If you have to break new ground, you break new ground. I fully support version one.
