Re: The Pre-SoV Workshop

Yeah, in testing so far his SbB has been fairly balancing to just how much he’s able to kill before he goes down, but I definitely see the concern. Maybe add a “may not attack the same figure more...

Re: The Pre-SoV Workshop

4 attacks on anything is worrying to me. I get why it’s there, and I get the counter argument (Sustained By Blood and no bonding). Still, i wonder if anyone else is concerened that this could limit...

Re: Boot Camp of Valhalla Design Thread

So, in addition to Warlord bonding, you're moving a figure every time you roll defense dice against a normal attack. That's a lot of movement power. One or the other . . . ?

With Battle Dance,...

Re: Boot Camp of Valhalla Design Thread

Something I’ve been toying with for an Ullar Warlord, and thought I’d drop it off here.

ULLAR’S BATTLE DANCE
After a figure you control that follows Ullar rolls defense dice against a normal...

Re: The Pre-SoV Workshop

Im just popping in, so I’ll just state the obvious (to me); a wise ‘Scape said that good designs give you a choice. Presumably, for a choice to be meaningful, both options should be appealing. So why...

Re: Boot Camp of Valhalla: Poll for Miniature/Concept

Know who else rides an arctic snowbeast?

Nerak the Glacian Swog Rider.

Just sayin’.

Re: Soldiers of Valhalla - nominations and discussion

I'd bet on "attack die," since I doubt LC would go for actual out-of-turn attacks.

Re: SoA's Customs: MOTLEY MAX, 11/18

I've got the miniature for Motley Max in-hand now, and it's exactly as awesome as it looked in the photos. Fantastic sculpt and paint job- I especially appreciate that they picked out the motley...

Re: LC's Customs- Glass Golem and Scarecrow 12/03/18

Same here- always wanted someone to do something cool with the figure, ever since I pulled it out of a blind pack and thought “what am I supposed to do with this?”
Bravo. Shatter Point really sells...

Re: Sir Heroscape's customs

Couple things- first, can you post the miniatures used for these guys? I know Jacob Bonefist is actually Kerdak Bonefist from Pathfinder Battles, but I don't know Ygorl's mini.
It looks like some...

Re: SoA's Customs: MOTLEY MAX, 11/18

Thanks for stopping by, LO!

I think for now, I'm going to settle on Warhulk, mostly because it's so darn awesome and I'd like to turn the theme of this design up to 11 wherever I can (without...

Re: An Impactful Customs Creator

Yep- and this goes for any creative endeavor. The best work (not just qualitatively, but the work you, the creator, feel best about) comes from a specific inspiration, not from grinding.

Re: SoA's Customs: MOTLEY MAX, 11/18

It's good to hear the words "simplistic and straightforward," because that's the method with which I've been trying to direct my design aesthetic over the past year. I feel that early in my design...

It's great to see you around this forum again LC, and this series of posts is a great read. D_S's point as to the natural progression really sums up why the series resonates. I'm excited for the next...

Re: SoA's Customs: MOTLEY MAX, 11/18

I googled “guide to ravnica miniatures” and checked images. WizKids has a picture of the whole set together, but not individual minis. I zoomed in, took a cropped screenshot, then uploaded it to...

Re: SoA's Customs: 11/18 MOTLEY MAX

Guildmaster's Guide to Ravnica is out, even if the singles havn't quite hit the secondary market yet. This set is based on Magic: the Gathering, and so the miniatures are... weird. So weird you could...

Re: SoA's Customs: UPDATE: 11/18

I had a similar concern when I first typed up Skrymir- but considering that Deathwalkers rarely see tournament play, and when they do, they're often accompanied by Zettian Infanty (which can...

Re: Leaf_It's customs. [UPDATED: OCT. 1, 2018]

Do you know the name of the miniature for the Vulcanmech Striker? I’d like to pick a couple up.

Re: SoA's Customs: UPDATE: 11/18

Skrymir actually has better survivability than Jotun with 1 more Life, but Protect the Little Ones! means some of that tanky-ness is sunk in elsewhere. Skrymir and Jotun also have the same Move value...

Re: SoA's Customs: UPDATE: 11/18

Thanks for the kind words guys. :) I don’t have the miniature in hand, and from the looks of it online, the Huge Crab Droid might create serious denial issues on a HS battlefield (the two raised...

Re: SoA's Customs: UPDATE: 11/18

This design doesn’t have a widely available miniature, nor am I even sure it can fit on a peanut base without some serious modding. But it looks cool! I count 41 available from non-ebay sellers. It...

Re: Movies: What did You Watch Last Night?

Saw Bohemian Rhapsody w/the gf Saturday night. We both liked it, with minor quibbles (I thought the prosthetic teeth were distracting, she thought the film took too much of the viewer’s knowledge of...
