NAME = INDIGO LANTERN
SPECIES = UNKNOWN
UNIQUENESS = UNCOMMON HERO
CLASS = TRIBESMAN
PERSONALITY = COMPASSIONATE

SIZE/HEIGHT = MEDIUM 5

LIFE = 3

MOVE = 5
RANGE = 1
ATTACK = 4
DEFENSE = 3

POINTS = 110

INDIGO POWER STAVE 2

Start the game with 2 indigo Battery Markers on this card. Add 1 to Indigo Lantern's Range and Defense numbers for each indigo Battery Marker on this card.

EMOTIONAL PURGE
Instead of attacking, you may choose a Unique Hero within 3 clear sight spaces of this Indigo Lantern that does not have the Compassionate personality or any indigo Battery Markers on its card. Place an indigo Battery Marker from this card onto the chosen Hero’s card. For the entire game, figures that have an indigo Battery Marker on their card that they did not begin the game with roll one fewer die when attacking and may not take a turn without first revealing an Order Marker on its card. Before a figure that is affected by this special power begins to take a turn, roll the 20-sided die. If you roll 6 or less, remove that Battery Marker from the game.

TRIBAL UNITY
After revealing an Order Marker on a Unique Tribesman's Army Card and either using the Tribal Teleportation special power or taking a turn with that figure, you may take a turn with this Indigo Lantern. You may not take any additional turns with other figures you control.

SUPER STRENGTH

FLYING

Draft is pretty much unchanged from the end of LCW. Points maybe around 160? I'm bad at valuing powers...

I am considering swapping the name to just like, Indigo Tribesman. Indigo Tribe Recruit is a looooong name. Though I suppose Sinestro Corps Soldier doesn't roll off the tongue either.

I like Indigo Tribesman as the name here. :2cents: I think 160 is a bit high for them, they’ll probably end up closer to 100 points.

Re: The Book of Indigo Tribe Recruit (Breathing)

Yeah, I guess my question is how to cost the conditional stats on the battery markers. They are 35 points just in base stats, 30 for flying, maybe 10-15 for the conditional bonding, Emotional Purge could go as high as 30 points I would guess because of the effect on OM hubs, that puts it at 110. The extra base stats TECHNICALLY take it to 165 and 5 for Super Strength?

But I obviously may be overvaluing Emotional Purge. And the extra stats probably need to be valued less because of the conditional?

I'd go with Indigo Lantern as the name. The Indigo Tribe is kinda screwed up in naming, but any of the others we do (Sinestro, John Stewart, Atom) would theoretically be named Indigo Lantern. The Sinestro Corps Soldier being named differently always bothered me.

I'm feeling closer to 100-110 too. Hard to tell cause it's really useful in some cases and borderline useless in others.

Yeah, 160 makes sense for me from the calculator. :2cents:

Just for clarification, their placed markers and the effects from them are intended to stay active and in play even if that Indigo Recruit is KO'ed, yes?

Edit: To clarify, stats, Super Strength, and Flying (assuming full charge boosting stats) put them at 115. From there it's a matter of what the other two powers are worth, including any point penalty from marker burn. If you go 2 and 3, that's about 160. If you go 2 and 2, that's about 145.

That is the intent. Probably need to clarify that in the text.

Might be good to start them around 140 or so then go up or down with them. I think they'll get better as the Tribe expands, so erring on the side of caution may be best.

They seem to encourage scissors builds that could screw up paper armies with OM hubs and get destroyed by rock armies. Their trick is basically Joker light.

Re: The Book of Indigo Tribe Recruit (Breathing)

Our other Lantern generics are Sinestro Corps Soldier and Star Sapphire. As long as you have the full name of the team (in this case, Indigo Tribe) you're good with whatever, so I have no problem with Indigo Tribesman. Sinestro Corpsman might have been a bit catchier as well. :lol:

I do think Emotional Purge might be a little over-valued, but it's always possible you completely screw up an army with them in some games and do virtually nothing in others. But you're not going to get BOTH the stats and the army disruption, you'll be picking one or the other, so I agree that low 100s is probably a better starting place.

I think we can probably play around with the exact marker removal mechanisms of the marker, but I think the effect it has is pretty much on the nose. Interested in seeing how they play.

Just a quick pedantic thought, but they technically affect any non-Tribesman with an indigo marker. I could see that affecting like...a future Volthoom design or something.
