Glory to Rome - Amazing Game
 

Not sure how many people have had a chance to play this game but it is probably my favorite game other than Heroscape. This game has been gaining ground on Boardgamegeek. In regards to popularity it got off to a slow start since it was released by a small company. The other common complaint is that many dislike its cartoony artwork but then again are you playing a game for the mechanics or to look at fancy artwork.

In regards to game play, many people compare to a better version of San Juan and Race for the Galaxy. In the game, your goal is to acquire victory points by building buildings or converting cards you own into victory points. There is also a way to claim an automatic victory and the game's amazing balance prevents any 1 strategy or combination from dominating.

The rules take a little bit of learning time and there is a learning curve. However, once versed in the game it takes roughly 30-60 mins
