IMPORTANT DEPOSIT DATES:
March 5th, 2022: $200: due date for ScapeCon II first ($200) deposit. If you pay your first deposit by this date, then you will receive 3 extra-exclusive alt-art cards.
April 2nd, 2022: ScapeCon II events are posted. Once you have paid for your badge in full, you can sign up for events.
May 1st, 2022: one-day badges go on sale. Again, once you have bought your badge, you may sign up for events.
July 7th, 2022: FINAL DATE FOR PAYMENT (no t-shirt included after June 1st).



Hotel Information:
Our room block rooms are $129 a night. The hotel has set aside a block of 23 double queen rooms and 5 king rooms for our dates. You do not have to stay at the hotel.

Thank you! We’re just 3 weeks away, so we’re excited and quite busy.

She has family about 2hrs south and I have family 2hrs north of Indianapolis so maybe we’ll plan to visit them on each side of the con. (Might also be the only way I convince her to endure 5 days of ‘Scape. :lol:)

I've never been to GenCon (or this year's ScapeCon), but am strongly considering attending ScapeCon II even if I can't attend the whole thing.

Biggest obstacle is my wife agreeing :lol:

We’re planning on having a limited number of 1- and 2-day badges (assuming we don’t sell out of weekend badges; we’re not entirely sure what the cap will be at this point- the thought is perhaps 64, but it’ll depend on a number of factors).

Scape Con is set up really well for doing what Scape Con wants to do. Scape Con is not set up well for doing what C3G Con wants to do, so it seems like a bad idea to pay 3 times as much to lower the quality of the experience. :-P

I haven't been very active on these boards for like 10 years or so, but me and mine still play and have recently introduced a few new guys to the game. I didn't discover this year's Scape con until the week before it occurred, but myself, Ewok Esenwein, my wife and one of our new recruits are planning on making the trip. Thank goodness we've got several months to plan!

Lol we’re already at 30 people who’ve confirmed they plan to attend…this is nuts. Haha, quite frankly I don’t know just how many people would actually WANT/plan to attend but if we’re already at 30…I could see us needing a bigger venue in just the next couple years! Haha, just crazy.

Get a local new station to give us some air time, send it to Hasbro and next thing you know they’ll reboot Heroscape ;-P

It's official -- we have a signed contract with the Holiday Inn Indy Airport, 8555 Standsted Road for July 13 -- July 17, 2022. We have use of the ballroom beginning at 8am on Wed. July 13. We have the ballroom through 11:59pm on Sun. July 17 so that you can game as late as you would like on Sunday.

We plan to add the Wed. night dinner to the package and we should be able to price everything at about $375. Stay tuned for more details and an upcoming survey (hopefully) from OEAO and Mr. Migraine.

The booking link for hotel rooms is now live. We have 23 double queens and 5 kings available at $129 per night per room. To take advantage of the block rate, rooms must be booked by June 13, 2022. No charge for cancellation at least 24 hours in advance of first night's stay. Again, there is no requirement to stay at the hotel.

I know that several of our group would really like to see more CV events officially (one of the problems with Gencon). What are your thoughts of balancing things out a bit? What % had CV last year?

There were were two VC events the first Scapecon. I think they were both less attended than the other event in their time slot. I feel like two is about the right number of VC events for where the community is at right now, personally.

We had three if you count the VC Delta event (which was Chris' idea, but it was functionally another official event- fully prized and everything). Wednesday night will probably be Multiplayer Madness this year (for a number of reasons)- I would expect anywhere from 1-3 VC events over the rest of the weekend (2 seems like a pretty safe guess, but we haven't even begun to work on the events schedule so I don't want to commit to anything yet).

Never been to a Scape convention, would be potentially interested - what's the possibility of coming up for 1-2 days for some games? I live in Louisville so the drive is doable but I'm a grad student without $400 (or a full week away from school) to spare

I tend to find other places to stay to help keep the costs down. I will be going to Gencon as well, so need to save as much as I can. Looking to room with someone at the hotel, or share a airbnb outside of the area (within 20 minutes). I have several options I am looking at. let me know if you are interested. I have found a couple that could be as low as $120 total for the four days per person.

I'll likely be looking for roomies at the hotel in Indy...but the Utah crew has first dibs if we're able to get a group together to drive out (which is looking like a possibility). I'll keep you in the back of my mind though if the Utah guys fall through.

The first post has a link to the hotel. You will pay the hotel directly for your room (I believe you can cancel the hotel room up to 24 hours in advance before your first night's stay with no penalty.) We will have details on payment for badges in February. An initial payment will be due in March. We'll try to give as much notice on price as possible, but we can't lock in the menu prices yet, and food is what drives the badge cost.

Thanks George. No my wife is not coming. I booked a room with 2 queens so perhaps one of my friends can join and stay with me. I'll let you know if they do. I only found out yesterday that I can secure that time off from work.

Any updates here?

We're less than 3 months away (Feb also a short month) and time goes pretty quick (especially after the holidays are all said and done)...so just wondering if there are more details we can start giving out to potential attendees etc to start getting them 1) excited and 2) prepared on what to expect and plan for.

Nothing new as of yet, especially with finals and the holidays. I imagine events will go up in April or May, and maps relatively soon thereafter.
