I don't think the theme of Green Lantern Retribution is coming off with the current mechanics. The mechanics make it seem like an actual energy drain ... something the Manhunter robots would do, or magic might, or an energy leech. I'm not sure if her being difficult to kill and a good fighter draining the battery is something that translates through a D20 roll to remove a marker. Not sure what the answer is here, but I'd at least like to see us considering options ... Should her normal range be 1? |
Re: Fatality - Design Phase
I was just going off that she usually had the stamina and defensive ability to battle with them until their rings lost their charge, so that's where the "remove marker" came from.
An alternative could be to have her roll additional attack/defense dice against GLs. I suppose we could lose the ESSA to keep the range, but replace it with a GL-specific SA. Maybe that would help with the "power drain" issue? |
Re: Fatality - Design Phase
She just strikes me as a melee figure ... what is the normal range based on? I didn't see where she had any energy projection power or anything.
I think the current special attack makes sense (even if Superman hates her for it!). GREEN LANTERN GRUDGE After Fatality attacks with her normal attack, she may attack one additional time for each Green Lantern she is engaged with. How about something like that? That would give her double attack in a melee situation against a single GL, and more than that if she caught them in a cluster, helping her to wear down their batteries more quickly. |

Wow, she's going to be a GL/Superman killing machine. Griff's going to hate her. |

OP updated
Grudge isn't strong enough of a word though. |
Re: Fatality - Design Phase
From her unauthorized biography:
Fatality scoured the galaxy, killing Green Lanterns wherever she could find them. Her impressive combat skills allowed her to wear down her opponents and strike after their power ring's twenty-four hour charge limit ran out. Many Green Lanterns died at Fatality's hand. [Green Lantern Vol. 3 #83-#85] She's listed as an Assassin (she assassinates Green Lanterns), but I didn't think it made sense for her to bond with the Hand. |
Re: Fatality - Design Phase
Could she be a Hunter since she hunts GL's?
|
Re: Fatality - Design Phase
Hunter or Warrior. Hmmm . . .
Are we expecting any future "hunter" synergies that wouldn't fit for her? |
Re: Fatality - Design Phase
Hunter and Warrior both work for me. :-) I almost like Predator, but I think it's too animalistic ...
Edit: I think either class could get future synergies ... |
