Bad_Calvin's Workshop - update 4-7
I don't have my own thread since it had been lost to HQ. So here is my thread to put my custom terrain in.
I hope you enjoy as I build my thread back up (as well as my website). If you all have any feedback, suggestions, requests, questions, ANYTHING! I will do my best to answer, accommodate, and share in the fun that is Terrain building. Here is my current project The Vydar Underground http://www.roguescape.com/portal/ima...7/Dsc00305.jpg Tutorials --Hex Based Battle Board --How to make Hex based Elevations. --Wooden Fence Tutorial --Tower Outpost --Skull Rock Newest Tutorial: Skull Rock http://roguescape.com/portal/images/...lrock/st55.JPG |
They look great! I can't wait to see if I can make my own.

Great Job Calvin...wish I had the room to make this here.

Did you actually carve those into the wood?

Click the link and see how he did it. |
It's not wood. It is just insulation board. There is no way in heck that I would carve hexes into wood. :) I don't have the time for it. I could mount it on wood I guess, but that board is going to go to a friends house or back in a stack somewhere. I only made this board to show others how to do it.
I am trying to get as many tutorials on the site as possible as a resource for beginners and "pros". As I am not really getting the response I was hoping for I am going to start at the "beginning" of terrain making and work my way to the harder stuff. Hopefully eventually some folks will come and use the site's space for their pictures and some of the forums for questions and posting their own workshops. This way we have a kick ass, extremely searchable (right down to each and every forum posted) database of terrain making. Eventually, I will be show you all how to make your own molds for terrain projects, and building's etc. Anyway, that started to go way off topic.... sorry. Anyway, this update is how to make a cheap terrain table. It is approx 1,024 hexes, and you can still put your other tiles on top of it if you would like. You don't have to flock your tiles if you don't want to as the board is already flocked. Chat at ya all later, I am hitting the sack. :) |

I love the idea!
I am probly going to use this idea and run with it, yet it will be alot smaller, due to space issues, but thanks for the tutorial! DeadEye |
