_________________________________________________________________ Character Bio - Lady Death was an ordinary young woman named Hope in medieval Europe. Her father, Matthias, was a demon-worshipping warlord and practitioner of witchcraft, whose crimes against his people caused them to turn against him. Hope was falsely accused of witchcraft and burned at the stake, but before the flames consumed her, she recited an incantation she overheard her father use, calling forth a demon. She brokered a deal with it to enter Hell in exchange for her willing renouncement of her humanity. Once Hope is banished to Hell, she sets about gaining the means to kill her demonic father. Lucifer grants her powers, and with help from Hell's blacksmith Cremator, she harnesses her arcane powers, and transforms into Lady Death. Comfortable in her inhumanity, Lady Death turns on Lucifer, intent on overthrowing his kingdom. She defeats him in single combat and takes his throne. However, her victory comes at a price: Lucifer lays a curse on her. Lady Death may never return to the mortal plane so long as the living walk the earth. Defiant to the end, Lady Death sets out to defeat the curse. Using her powers, she transforms a modern-day mentally disturbed young boy into the undead mass murderer Evil Ernie with end goal of Megadeath, the extinction of all things living. Unfortunately for Lady Death, Lucifer, being the father of lies, has tricked her this entire time. His goal was to corrupt someone innocent as absolutely as possible, and he succeeded. Realizing this, she vows to redeem her dark path. She becomes more and more heroic, and eventually helps save the people of Earth in the coming Armageddon. ______________________________________________ -Rulings and Clarifications-

Re: The Book of Lady Death
NAME = LADY DEATH
SECRET IDENTITY = HOPE SPECIES = ENTITY UNIQUENESS = UNIQUE HERO CLASS = HELL LORD PERSONALITY = DEFIANT SIZE/HEIGHT = MEDIUM 5 LIFE = 7 MOVE = 6 RANGE = 4 ATTACK = 4 DEFENSE = 6 POINTS = 365 OBLIVION SWORD When attacking an adjacent figure, you may add 1 automatic skull to whatever is rolled. If Lady Death destroys an adjacent Common or Unique figure, that figure is removed from the game. DESIRE EQUALS POWER After attacking, you may remove one unrevealed Order Marker from this card to attack one additional time. DEFIANT FURY When Lady Death receives one or more wounds from an enemy figure's attack, once during your next player turn, you may add 2 to her Attack number while attacking that figure. Re: The Book of Lady Death
Looks cool, I like the addition to the Undead synergy. A couple questions:
1) Is there a particular reason Queen of All That is Dead and Dying is limited to Commons only? Based on the title, it seems to me it should work with all Undead. 2) I don't know the character, so I'm confused by the theme of Desire Equals Power. Particularly, why does it negate Hellforged Sword? Also, very minor, but in Hellforged Sword you have an "and" where it should be "an". Otherwise, :up:. |
Re: The Book of Lady Death
From what I can infer, she's probably the type that commands zombies or skeletons or vampire slaves more than "high-end" Undead.
But yeah, some clarification of theme would be great here. Power set seems fun but I can't speak for how appropriate it might be. I'm only really familiar with her via cheesecake art, so... :p |

2) It's pretty key to her character. In Hell, desire equals power, and her defiance to give in allowed her to overpower and defeat Lucifer himself, to become ruler of Hell. So basically once in a while her desire becomes greater so she becomes stronger. Negating the sword just represent her magic attacks becoming more powerful like this. Plus for game balance, since that'd be pretty beefy! Fixed the typo! :) I threw a bio up there to help with theme questions! |
Re: The Book of Lady Death
I got nothing to add as long as you are confident in her power level.
Which is the mini you were going to use for her? |

A repainted Valkyrie figure! Should be real simple. Paint everything white, cape and armor black, and the sword. |
Re: The Book of Lady Death
Neat design. What do you think about Desire Equals Power negating Hellforged Sword for the entire round? It would make it more of a question of when to use the power, since there would be a bigger drawback for the boost.
