UNIQUENESS = UNIQUE HERO
CLASS = PROTÉGÉ
PERSONALITY = VALIANT

SIZE/HEIGHT = MEDIUM 5

LIFE = 4

MOVE = 6

T-SPHERE CREATION

T-SPHERE TACTICS
When rolling for initiative, you may
• choose an enemy figure that is within 4 spaces of a T-Sphere and add 1 to your roll for each Order Marker on the chosen figure's card; or
• place each T-Sphere on any empty space within 4 spaces of its current location; or
• destroy any number of T-Spheres.

T-MASK CLOAKING
If a T-Sphere is within 4 spaces of Mister Terrific, Androids and Cyborgs cannot target Mister Terrific for a non-adjacent special power or attack.

FLYING

Original design
Spoiler Alert!

Re: Mister Terrific - Design Phase

Huh. I've never actually seen him fly with the T-Spheres, but Wiki says he can, so I guess he can.

Natural Aptitude is a fun take on that aspect of his character. In the comics I think he tends to use his aptitudes for support/science type skill sets, but I think this will be more fun in the game, so I can go with it.

I like how the T-Spheres are used.

Re: Mister Terrific - Design Phase

I've only seen him in the first issue of the new 52, but he definitely flew with the T-Spheres. :shrug:

Nice design overall though SirG. Don't know much about the guy but he looks fun.

Ah, I might be basing my thoughts too much on pre-new 52, then. But, like I said, if Wikipedia says he can do it, I'm sure he can. I just haven't seen it.

Looks good, from my limited knowledge of the character.

Although it might be fun if Natural Aptitude was called Fair Play instead.

I think the Golden Age version of the character might be a better fit for the "Fair Play" title ... and using it here wouldn't make it clear what was going on, IMO.

After thinking a bit more, I'm slightly disappointed this guy doesn't have any sort of support/leadership power to show how well he works on teams. But I'm not sure where it would go.

The only thing that could really go is Natural Aptitude. The other two powers are pretty central to his character.

One possibility is a power called WHITE KING, where he could have a leadership ability with figures of Checkmate, but I haven't come up with a good way to word that at all. And with not wanting to do "team cards" (which I am fine with not doing), I'm not sure that it's even viable mechanically.

Re: Mister Terrific - Design Phase

There is nothing on this design that stands out to me that is bad... but it just isn't "doing it" for me. I think part of the reason is because the kid in me wants to see the T-spheres on the battlefield. Do you have any ideas on how we can make a T=sphere glyph that Mister Terrific can perhaps make move? Sorry if this idea is bad one, but I am feeling pretty "kiddish" right now, and I really would like to see some T-spheres. Heck, I would even create a tutorial on how to make them from erasers and toothpicks if you wanted, and we could have T-sphere DOs.

Well, I really identify him with the JSA and even the JLA more than Checkmate. I'd rather have a universal synergy power though, than a faction specific one. He's a helpful genius no matter where he's at.

Maybe we should explore this T-Sphere glyph idea of Griffin's and give him just one T-Sphere power on his card, freeing up room for a small support power to go with the T-Sphere power and Natural Aptitude?

Re: Mister Terrific - Design Phase

In researching further, the spheres aren't what cloak him from electronic technology--his mask does that, but in thinking about it more, he should be targetable at range by Spider-Man, for example.

I don't know that making the T-Spheres a DO or a glyph works thematically though. I mean, they're his--his superior intellect invented them. If they were a DO or a glyph just lying around, how would he fly or use his SA? Have they ever been separated from him? Can anyone else even use them?
