Heroscapers - MARS D.C. Winter Classic 2023

Announcing the third installment of the MARS (Mid-Atlantic Regional Scapers) revival! To be hosted in College Park MD, and of course all skill levels are welcome!

When:
Saturday January 7, 2023
Sign-in starts at 12:30, game play starts at 1pm
4 rounds ending around 5pm (a superfinal can be played as needed)
Feel free to stay after for additional gaming!

There is plenty of parking in the shopping center, which also has a Starbucks, Shoppers, pizza shop and Chinese take-out. The store is okay with closed drinks and neat food/snacks in the shop. They just ask that we keep food off of the blue playmats that are on the tables.

Entry Fee:
$10
Part of the fee will go towards renting the space, the rest will go towards gift certificates for the top X players (number and amount to be decided that day based on number of attendees).

Format:
“Sniped!"

530 points, 20 figure
At the start of the game, before placing figures, you will exchange army cards with your opponent. Secretly and simultaneously, you will select one army card from their army. That army card is removed from their army for this game (or cards, if they have more than one card of a common unit).
If your opponent has multiples of an Uncommon Hero, only one would be removed. For example, if my opponent has two Frost Giants of Morh and I choose to snipe it, only one would be removed, leaving one Frost Giant in their army.
The figure limit of 20 is only assessed after the snipe process, before placing the remaining figures in your start zone.
A+ Unit Limit. Your army can only include one of the following units: Raelin the Kyrie Warrior (RotV), Major Q9, Deathreavers, Marro Warriors
Classic Scape and VC allowed. No Marvel.
