Tutorial on How to Paint this Figure

_________________________________________________________________

Character Bio - Golgotha was a mighty tyrannosaur stemming from the bloodline of Old One Eye and Satanus before him. At some stage Golgotha was captured and used as a pet by Mike Molasses, the son of a rich businessman. Fed on synthetic meat, Golgotha rarely got a chance to hunt real prey. On one of his master's hunting trips however, Golgotha with a large pack of Tyrannosaurs following. Golgotha attacked a small city, killing hundreds before the ABC Warriors were called in to sort the problem.
Golgotha was lured to Viking City where the citizens in a bout of fear began sacrificing pretty young women to the "god" in hopes it would quench his thirst. This failed of course and Hammerstein stepped in to fight the beast.
After a lengthy battle, made even longer by Blackblood tampering with Hammerstein's weapons, Golgotha was finally defeated when a bridge gave way at his feet, causing him to fall and become impaled on a tower. The tower then snapped under his weight, causing the dinosaur to fall to the ground, taking at least five humans with him on contact.

A PACK OF MY OWN
After revealing an Order Marker on this card and taking a turn with Golgotha, you may either move three Uncommon Dinosaur Heroes you control or take a turn with one Uncommon Dinosaur Hero you control.

TAIL WHIP
Before Golgotha attacks with his normal attack, you may choose one figure that is adjacent to both Golgotha and the defending figure. If the defending figure receives one or more wounds from Golgotha's attack, the chosen figure receives one wound.

ARMOUR PLATING
When rolling for defense against a normal attack, if no blanks are rolled, all skulls rolled count as additional shields.

Seems pretty straightforward. Points seem low to me, but that's theoryscaping. Tests will bear it out.

Yeah no issues. Makes the mini rexes a bit more mobile, but nothing crazy powerful.

Not sure yet exactly how this one will play out.
I think once I got him on the board I will have a better idea of where he needs to go.
I know the numbers are not going to work out how I had hoped, so I just want to find a fun place for this one to land.
I think the key will be getting him to the right level where he teams well with 2 or 3 Cursed Earth T-Rex. It should be a tough call to decide between trying to take down Golgotha first(which is probably always the smart option) and picking off the Cursed T-Rex one by one, to break the bonding.

Old One Eye is even better at the mobility, which is also a boon for Golgotha. You can let his grandma move up him and his pack for free and take the early damage.
Golgotha gives the faction some much needed bonding (only B&C&T&R have it now) and will be really nice for clean up.

It's only a single weak uncommon though. If he could bond with any of the others that'd make the faction more playable, in my opinion. Right now Golgotha and 3ish uncommons is a fine addon to like an Avengers army with Cap or something like that. They don't need the other dinos.

Re: The Book of Golgotha (Heavy Breathing)

I do plan on doing at least one other uncommon, the Savage Land T-Rex. Was brainstorming them a bit today.
Also there is the He-Man T-Rex that would be uncommon as well.

I think it should all play fairly well. Old One Eye leads the group forward and charges in and takes a beating, follow that immediately with B&C&T&R, and once two or three of them fall, Golgotha and the Cursed roll in for clean-up.
Their end game may still end up being weak but they should really wreak some havoc in the meantime. :)

Pretty interesting. I like the Armor Plating to give a different feel than the other Rexes we have, along with the standard "leads dinos" and "is a dino" powers. I agree points will probably come up a bit, but I'm fine seeing how he looks on the field.
