None of the elementals or the wyvern are needed. Just Deepwyrm Drow (R1), Hydra(R2), Greenscales(R3), Othkurik(R3), Torin(R4), and Estivara(R4).

The only pack not needed is the elementals.

EDIT: I went with
Jotun 225
Braxas 435
Shiori 495

three separate times. Eventually banned Braxas and Jotun both from this campaign. Braxas took down any squad that moved, (and both Pelloth and Cyprien in the same run-through, both before being activated! :twisted: . Jotun took out pretty much every thing in two hits or less, and room 4 was ended by the end of round 1 each time.

Then when I played as baddies, I drafted Deepwyrm x2 & Pelloth in room one, and was destroyed by Awasome. Then in room 2, boosted the hydra with RotV Raelin and Kelda. Easy win. Again. :twisted:

This is very true. I, having extra MS3 glyphs, didn't think about that. :?

And the elementals pack even has the elixir of speed! :duh: One my more favored glyphs!

Hm. D2 just made me lose my first time in RoB. But then again, it was a full moon... (Werewolf lord kicked butt against my heroes, killing each other off.)

Starting a new campaign. This time I am letting my son pick the Utgar army. I have also decided to include Marcu and Isamu in for fillers.

Adventure party:
Mika
Heirloom
Rhogar
Brandis
Iron Golem

Utgar:
Shurrok
Drow
Marcu

I am on to the next room. My son took out Heirloom and Rhogar.
Second wind: Rhogar 3 wounds and Heirloom 3 wounds:shock:. Room2

I finally got to play the River of Blood today (all four rooms).

I played good, and being me, I picked:

Raelin RotV
Major Q9
Charos
Eldgrim

... and I got SMOKED in the first room, by Porkins, playing:

Deepwyrm Drow x1
Zetacron
Ne-Gok-Sa

Zetacron 1-shots Raelin from height, Charos kills Zetacron, NGS mindshackles Charos, Q9 gets poisoned. Ouch.

We ran it again, and my party made it through all four rooms that time, but man... that was brutal.

I just finished Room 1. Sadly I can not play the rest of them tonight.

These were the teams.

Good side:
Sonlen 160
Migol 110
Morgrimm 120
Sharwin 110
Total: 500.

Bad Side:
x2 Feral Trolls 180
x1 Drows 70
Total: 250

The good side barreled through like nothing. Game was over in 3 rounds. Migol destroyed the Drows. Sonlen took care of the Trolls. I didn't even use Morgrimm or Sharwin. Sonlen only took 4 wounds and healed 1. Trolls had no luck at all on die rolls.

Also,that is why they call it River of Blood. Lol.
