Character Bio - The most talented telepath among a race of powerful mentalists, Imra left her homeworld of Titan to join the Science Police as a teenager. However, during her flight to Earth, an assassination attempt was made on the life of fellow passenger and billionaire R.J. Brande. Using her powers of telepathy, Imra discovered the plot, and, with the help of two other teenagers on board, Lightning Lad and Cosmic Boy, caught the assassin and saved Brande's life. At Brande's urging, she adopted the persona of Saturn Girl, and joined Lightning Lad and Cosmic Boy in founding the Legion of Super-Heroes.

PSYCHIC BLAST
Instead of attacking, you may:
* choose all enemy figures adjacent to Saturn Girl; or

Each chosen figure receives 1 wound. If a chosen figure is a Telepath, you may remove 1 Order Marker at random from its Army Card. After using Psychic Blast, you must remove 1 unrevealed Order Marker from this card or place 1 Wound Marker on this card. Figures with the Mental Shield special power are not affected by Psychic Blast.

MENTAL WALLS
When an enemy figure within 5 clear sight spaces of Saturn Girl attacks Saturn Girl or a friendly figure with a normal attack, the attacking figure rolls 1 fewer attack die for each unrevealed Order Marker on this card, to a minimum of 1 die. Figures that are Telepaths or have the Mental Shield special power are not affected by Mental Walls.

Very interesting. She's going to be a lot of fun to test. Definitely pushes some boundaries in a fun way.
I think the first power probably needs some clearer wording in the first sentence:

PSYCHIC BLAST
Instead of attacking, you may choose either all opponent's figures adjacent to Saturn Girl or one opponent's figure within 6 spaces of Saturn Girl. Chosen figures receive 1 wound each. If the chosen figure was a Telepath, you may remove 1 random Order Marker from the chosen figure's Army Card. After using Psychic Blast, you must either remove 1 unrevealed numbered Order Marker from this card or place 1 Wound Marker on this card. Figures with the Mental Shield Special Power are not affected Psychic Blast.

So she has Mental Walls but not Mental Shield? (a theme question really, I know nothing about LoSH)

Yeah, her ability is more about putting suggestions in the mind of the attacker that they can't do harm. She has temporarily taken control of some of the weak minded beings like Validus but it's not something she does often. She slows the attackers down & breaks mental attacks, but has been susceptible to them herself.

Pretty cool design A3n. I know nothing about Saturn Girl, but she seems pretty useful to her team but scary to the opponent unless they have some range to counter her as she'll have a big target. Certainly her support troops can go after the long-ranged units and she can return the favor for in close units.

I like the balance for Psychic Blast as while it's an auto-wound w/o a dice roll, she has to reveal a numbered OM or take a wound, so it's not something she can use willy nilly.

Also, I think that Mental Walls in some form can perhaps be a power for Mentallo since he can:

I didn't want to derail the thread, but just thought I'd mention that here before I forgot since it seems like Mental Walls could be used again. I don't know if we'd want to make it Mental Walls 3 for Saturn Girl for being able to lessen the attack by 3 so that someone else could have Mental Walls 2 if they aren't as powerful? Just a thought, but not a big deal :)

I didn't want to derail the thread, but just thought I'd mention that here before I forgot since it seems like Mental Walls could be used again. Just a thought, but not a big deal :)

Cool design A3n, she's looking like DC's answer to Invisible Woman, but with a nasty psychic twist. I didn't catch the necessary requirement for using Psychic Blast the first time through. I think it looks good and should play pretty balanced.

On Saturn Girl's Mental Walls, shouldn't figures with Mental Shield be immune to her power too? I'd think even more so than Telepaths.

Yeah, that's true. I mean figures with Mental Shield can already bypass some major telepaths, I don't know how it wouldn't work in this case. :shrug:

Will any Legionnaires have any X OM powers? If so, you could let her remove any OM.

I'd like that option as well. Sure it's a powerful ability, but she's really weak and in theory is going to die pretty quickly after she's close enough to use it.

It's the difference between being able to use the power once a round and being able to use it twice a round ... I'd say go for the change and we'll see if it's too powerful in playtesting. :-)
