Re: Louisville, KY Events: Nov 30, multi-format!
:( Thanks for all your work over the years. Maybe if we did bi-monthly or quarterly we would get more people. I also think thanksgiving was maybe a bad time for some people as well, but I also agree attendance has been dwindling for all events. Even though I am in Cincinnati I can "organize" events in Louisville at least quarterly - just need to get you to "vouch" for me to owner before I call him to book tables. In addition I should be able to assist Dayton at events quarterly, and and maybe 2-4 times a year in Cincinnati.

Re: Louisville, KY Events: Nov 30, multi-format!
No that's so sad. I wish I could have been at the November tournament, but thanks to working at UPS now I had to work Saturdays starting Nov. 23rd until the end of the year. When January rolls around and I have more free time I'm more than willing to try to get tournaments rolling again through TTD but I do agree that our attendance has been dwindling over the last year. Maybe other David's right and we could do them less than monthly to attract more people. Maybe we could even try not doing them on the same Saturday every time and try to schedule around when we could get the most people (maybe even Gordon and Tommy). Doing that monthly would've been too much trouble but if we only have 4 or so tournaments a year then 3 months to plan around everybody seems reasonable to me.

Re: Louisville, KY Events: Soon to be Under New Management
I think longer-term planning (working with everyone's schedules as you can) and fewer, more solid events throughout the year sounds like a great idea. Let 2020 be the year of David & David. But do to Louisville Heroscape the opposite of what D&D did to the end of Game of Thrones...
Looking forward to what you guys come up with. :) |
Re: Louisville, KY Events: Soon to be Under New Management
I thoroughly enjoyed the "random" match games we played. I very cool format I hope we'll get to try again.

Re: Louisville, KY Events: Soon to be Under New Management
I'm more than happy to come down for some events as long as I have a heads up pretty well in advance to schedule off work. Right now I'm making out my schedule from Jan 12-Feb 22. *hint hint* :lol:

Re: Louisville, KY Events: Soon to be Under New Management
@Viideosayg
and I will try to plan bi-monthly events, working around Dayton's (roughly) quarterly events, and Michigan and C2Ps sporadic events.
Lets try to schedule an event in late January 2020 - Jan 18, Jan 25, or Feb 1. Everyone let me know which of these dates will work for you. |
Re: Louisville, KY Events: Soon to be Under New Management
Feb 1st for me, thanks

Re: Louisville, KY Events: Soon to be Under New Management
Feb. 1 is most likely going to be best for me, too.
