Its model number and name are #97-99 / Brit City Judge.

Character Bio - The Brit-Cit Justice Department is based in the New Old Bailey. It is very similar in structure and effect to the Mega City One justice system, and aside from a few cosmetic differences (lions instead of eagles) even the Judge uniforms are the same. As such, the laws are harsh, with many crimes not found in present-day law, and the Judges have the power to act as both police and judge/jury/executioner, though they do portray more of a stiff upper lip when doing so.

Brit-Cit has a special relationship with Mega City One and the two work together quite often. Brit-Cit provided refuge for Mega City One Judges when Nero Narcos took over the city and covertly aided Judge Dredd in liberating the city with technical and personnel support. Brit-Cit contributed medical and technical personnel and commando units to assist in an international humanitarian mission. The two cities have also run exchange programs with their Cadets.

Re: The Book of Brit-Cit Judge (Just Breathe)

NAME = BRIT-CIT JUDGE

SPECIES = HUMAN
UNIQUENESS = UNCOMMON
CLASS = JUDGE
PERSONALITY = DEDICATED

SIZE/HEIGHT = Medium 5

LIFE = 3

MOVE = 5
RANGE = 6
ATTACK = 3
DEFENSE = 5
POINTS = 55

JUDGE
Start the game with a gold Judgement Marker on this card. You may never have more than one Judgement Marker on this card. If an enemy figure within clear sight of any Judge you control inflicts a wound on a friendly figure, you may place your Judgement Marker from this card on the enemy figure's Army Card. Whenever an enemy's Army Card with one of your Judgement Markers on it has all of its figures destroyed, you may return that Judgement Marker to this card, if possible.

JURY
Any enemy figure with your Judgement Marker on its card has the class of Criminal in addition to the class on its card. Criminal figures roll one fewer die when defending against attacks from this Brit-Cit Judge.

EXECUTIONER
If this Brit-Cit Judge inflicts one or more wounds with his normal attack on an enemy Criminal figure and there is only 1 Life remaining on that figure, roll one unblockable attack die against that figure.

Awesome!

Looking through the wording, right now all Brit-Cit judges can put their markers on the first enemy figure that wounds a friendly figure. I don't know why you would want to use all your markers that way but you can. Is that OK?

Also, some suggested wording changes for the other two powers:

Quote:

JURY
Any enemy figure with your Judgement Marker on their card has the class of Criminal in addition to the class on their card. Criminal figures roll one less die when defending against attacks from this figure, or two less dice if that figure is Common.

EXECUTIONER
If this Brit-Cit Judge inflicts one or more wounds with his normal attack on an opponent's figure with at least one of your Judgement marker on its card and there is only 1 Life remaining on that figure, roll one unblockable attack die against that figure.

JUDGE
Start the game with a gold/bronze Judgement Marker on this card. If an opponent's figure within clear sight of any Judge you control inflicts a wound on a friendly figure, you may place a Judgement Marker from the card of any Brit-Cit Judge you control on that figure's Army Card.

Really like these guys - cool to see the Judge faction moving, and being able to call enemies out as Criminals should be a nice help to Dredd right off the bat. :thumbsup: Daredevil and Rorschach will really appreciate it too. Red Mist is another - less thematic but still fun - beneficiary, as anyone these guys have Judged suddenly becomes willing to take a Payoff. :twisted: The 'may' part of it also makes it difficult for your opponent to leverage the Judgement for themselves by opening up Criminal synergies, which is good - I have no need to see Silver Surfer fighting alongside the LexCorp any time soon. :)

Just one thought I had, admittedly not knowing these guys - would it make sense to make them a tough squad rather than full Uncommon Heroes? I'm just thinking that that would mean that, in a Judge vs. Dark Judge battle, Judge Death would be able to fulfil his potential by picking off squaddies.

Is their a need or desire to have the judgement markers return to their card to be reused once a figure that has a marker is killed? Being able to judge and execute multiple figures in one game using just one brit-cit judge could be pretty good, but tracking which marker belongs to which judge when playing with multiple brit-cit judges could get messy.

Couldn’t it just go on the closest brit judge that doesn’t already have a marker?

Does this work? I struggle with the Uncommon mechanic. :)

Uncommons with markers are really tricky. If you need to limit it, you can do it this way:

Quote:

JUDGE
Start the game with a gold/bronze Judgement Marker on this card. If an opponent's figure within clear sight of any Judge you control inflicts a wound on a friendly figure, you may place one of your Judgement Markers from the card of any Brit-Cit Judge you control on that figure's Army Card. A card may not have more than one of your Judgement Markers placed on it.

Also I think this cleans up the "whose marker is it" tracking issue.

I would not be against that.

I guess theme-wise they do not deploy as large groups outside of major incident. Each Judge really is an individual.

I would be willing to entertain thoughts on it, as it would be a cheap way to get a lot of Judges on the street.

If it can be done cleanly.

Not sure how much it is needed, I guess it comes down to how many army cards you are facing. :)
