1. Have a C3G competitive map created on a board, and kept on standby.
-It can take 20-30 minutes just to create a map, it's in your best interest to keep a map on stand by so when you have the time to playtest, it is spent on playtesting.

2. Create your teams in advance.
-Whether I am playtesting with a friend, or alone, it is always smoother to plan teams ahead of time, and get everything together at once. If you have free time ahead of playtesting, get the figures, cards, Order Markers etc. so you are prepared come playtesting time.

3. Know your point values and synergies.
-This will severely cut down on time spent planning your teams. You should have at least 2-3 teams in memory to go up against the playtested figure, that are close to 1,000 points. Have the Synergy Archive bookmarked.

4. Place the map near a computer.
-It's easiest to put all the info down as you play, in the Standard Playtesting Form itself on the computer. Don't waste time with a word document, a notepad, or any other method, if you can go straight to the source. Obviously, you have to work with what you have, but ideally you want to be typing it as you play, and have it ready to post as soon as you're done with the 2 games. I suggest a card table that can be brought out and placed near your desktop computer, placing the pre-made map/board on the table, or using a laptop where convenient.

5. Have the playtest form ready.
-I use a previous test, and just delete the data. Quote a previous test, or the empty Playtest Sheet, and take out the quotes. This means I don't have to re-code anything, or whatever customization you may like to do. I then paste it in a PM to the LD, and directly fill it out as I go, thus eliminating any middle men.

6. Choose which information is essential.
-Find your balance. There are minimums that are necessary for the tests, but you be the judge on how much additional information is needed to correctly represent the tests well. If more is desired, they will usually ask/suggest so, but you should want to deliver maximum information, while leaving out the un-necessary information. Too much information hurts both your time spent as well as their ability to pick out the essential information. Too little information and it wastes your time. Find that balance. I suggest looking at Hero tests from previous designs, and modeling yours after the best, but find your own balance.
