Re: The Book of Street Light - Design

NAME = STREET LIGHT
DESIGNATION = DESTRUCTIBLE OBJECT

SIZE/HEIGHT = LARGE 10

LIFE = 2
DEFENSE = 4

PENDULUM SWING
Whenever a figure with the Swing Line or Web Swing special power moves over this space, you do not have to count it.

LAMPPOST SMASH
Whenever an adjacent figure with the Super Strength special power attacks another adjacent figure with a normal attack, you may remove this figure from the game to add 1 automatic skull to that attack.

WIRED IN
Before this Street Light is moved or when it is destroyed, roll one unblockable attack die against each adjacent figure without the Electrically Charged special power. After this street Light is moved, remove it from the game.

I dig it. :up: Wired In is a cool effect.

This is cool. I have a bunch of lamp posts from those mini Christmas display that will fill in for this.

Re: The Book of Street Light - Design

I might call the second power Lampost Smash or Lampost Club or something to differentiate from the first power better. I'd also specify that it takes effect when attacking another/different adjacent figure, as right now it'd give the bonus on attacks against itself.

With Wired In, you won't be able to throw it. Is that what you want?

I think the timing on that is a little unclear, actually. I might say "after" instead of "whenever" to clarify that. My impression, though, is it's only destroyed if it's moved, which means the throwing movement would happen first, then the destruction.

Yep I want it to be thrown but not get re-attached to the ground cause that would be weird.

Re: The Book of Street Light - Design

I think this change would do that:

WIRED IN
Whenever this Street Light is moved, immediately roll one unblockable attack die against each adjacent figure without the Electrically Charged special power and, at the end of your turn, remove this street light from the game.

the good thing about this is that it's a step towards designs I wanted to see in the future, that being flag poles & air conditioners attached to the side of buildings. My thoughts were they would add 2 spaces to the movement & another 10 levels to the height of any swing power. ;)

Is that figure turn or player turn? And why do you have to wait?

Either one. And you have to wait because it needs to be able to roll attack dice after being moved.
