Re: Heroes of Fiction: Design Thread

Ok here is Tanis as he stands now

TANIS HALF-ELVEN
:ullar:

HALF-ELF
UNIQUE HERO
FIGHTER
CAREFUL
MEDIUM 5

LIFE: 5
MOVE: 5
RANGE: 7
ATTACK: 2
DEFENSE: 4

NATURAL STRATEGIST
After revealing an order marker and before taking a turn with Tanis Half-Elven, you may first either move or attack with 1 elf, half-elf or human hero or squad you control.

DOUBLE SHOT
When Tanis Half-Elven attacks a figure that is not adjacent, he may attack one additional time.

WYRMSLAYER
When Tanis Half-Elven attacks an adjacent figure, add 2 dice to his Attack. If the adjacent figure is a dragon, add 4 dice instead.

If everyone likes how he stand then we need to discuss points

Re: Heroes of Fiction: Design Thread

Tanis' cost is somewhere in the vicinity of Agent Carr's, IMO. Tanis has +1 Life and +1 Range. Wyrmslayer is Sword of Reckoning Lite. Tanis adds a Double Attack from range and a minor bonding at the cost of Disengage and Ghost Walk. Overall, I'd give the edge to Tanis, though Carr would be more deadly in a melee battle between the two.

120?

Re: Heroes of Fiction: Design Thread

Yes I was thinking about 120 as well, I was comparing him to Tandros Kreel. Tanis has -2 life but +2 range. Wyrmslayer is like Lonsword +2 but with the bonus against dragons. Double Attack at range and the bonding in place of Cleave and Combat challenge.

Sorry for not chiming in before now.

My original comparison was also to Agent Carr. I would fall in line with starting with 120 as well.

I would say that the biggest variable between Tanis and Carr is the bonding. Without some playtetsting it may be hard to nail down how valuable that bonding really is.

Unitl then I think 120 is an appropriate starting place.

Here's the card for Tanis. Anyone who can, read through it and check for any necessary edits. If there are none, I'll post it to the display thread.

Is there any more discussion on Tanis? If not, I'll post the card to the Display Thread, and I guess we're ready for the next victim.
