University of Connecticut Heroscape Tourney - March 22nd!

We at UConn would like to officially announce the first annual Rise of the Husky Heroscape Tournament

What:
A knock down drag out bare-knuckle slobber knocker brought to you by the UConn Society for Medieval Arts and Combat (SMAC). This is our first tournament, and no doubt it will only get better from here! Come meet Heroscapers of all ages! There are plenty of places in the building, elsewhere on campus, and nearby for food.

When:
March 22, 2008.
Sign In: 11:00am
Event: 12:00 – 6:00

Where:
University of Connecticut (UConn)
Directions:
Take Rt 84 into Connecticut.
Take exit 68 onto 195 South
195 South takes you to the UConn campus.
Take a right onto North Eagleville Rd.
Take a left onto North Hillside Road.
Park in Lot 9/X on your Right or if there is no room park in the North Parking Garage on your left.
Continue to walk up North Hillside Road. Look for the Student Union on your left (2 Buildings up from the parking garage).
You can find us up in room 304.

Cost:
1 unopened Heroscape item or Heroscape related prize (custom terrain is cool, for example).

Prizes:
Players will get to pick a single prize from the prize table according to their rank (highest to lowest). Don’t worry about bringing a Master Woo, we’ll have that covered.

Armies:
450 point armies. Your army cannot exceed a 24 Hex Start Zone. No proxies will be allowed. If you’ve got a cool repaint bring it! Just remember no repainting figures to look like exclusives.
Marvel figures are part of the Heroscape line and will be allowed. The Marrow Hive cannot be drafted.

Tournament Scoring:
The tournament will have five rounds of one-on-one games. Each round will last 45 minutes, and players in each match will finish on the same turn marker. Stalling is highly frowned upon, we want to see some knock down drag out fighting!

We will be scoring using the Super Simple System (SSS) detailed here: http://www.heroscapers.com/community...=11233&start=0
Scoring will be determined based on Win/Loss Record, then Strength of Schedule, then Losing Score Points. No fractional scoring.

Glyphs:
No Glyphs will be used in the tournament.

What Else:
You must provide your own dice, order markers, wound/other markers, and figures. Anyone willing to donate time and pieces towards map setup will be greatly praised, and might even get a hug.

Maps:

Count me in! I'm looking forward to it.

Sign me up for sure. I don't have any commitments that day and it's a little over two hours to drive (which means it's also a little over two hours for you guys to get to this tournament in Vermont).

OK, I'll stop plugging my own tournament in your thread now, I promise.
