C3V Online Playtesting Rotation
 

In order to both help people get in more casual games and help the C3V out with public playtesting, we've decided to start this experiment.

Here's how it will work. The rotation will run in two-week "rounds," each featuring a different unit in C3V public playtesting. At the start of each round, each player signed up will be given access to the C3V Online Playtesting subforum (in the Customs section), where they will find a list of game links from which to choose, the unit information, and point total/army build suggestions. Players are expected to complete a game on one of the maps with one side using the playtesting unit in the two-week period. Posting battle reports/thoughts on the units in the private forum is encouraged, but not required.

Players can sign up for the next round at any time. You can sign up for just the next round, or specify that you'd like to continue until you sign out. Once you're signed up, you can sign out whenever you need to, and you won't be put into the next round unless you sign up again.

This won't work without some players, though. So let's do this!

The OP says NEXT round: Beorn, Next Round Starts 12/15. But that's the current round info, correct?

I assume that the NEXT round (after Beorn) starts 12/29, and the next figure hasn't been announced yet?

The first round technically hasn't started yet, since there was going to be a week of signups; given that a bunch of people are already playing games, we might shift it so the second round starts earlier than that.

Ok sounds good. Is a new thread going to be started for each unit?

I was going to do a final summary of my thoughts when the round closes for the unit.

I'm signed up. This sort of stuff only works if we get behind it and not if we say it should exist but keep forging on on our own.

Despite how few of us there are, I think it's been reasonably successful. They got 13 Beorn playtests and 10 (so far) Josie playtests from it.
