You could always use the Huge size as a synergy hook for Kaiju. You rope in quite a bit more designs, but Optimus, Sentinels, Dinos, etc. would kinda fit thematically.

Kaiju definitely feels iconic enough to rep on the card - no preference for whether it should be a Species or Class, but I definitely want it to be one of them.

I lean toward individual species and, honestly, just Beast for class. Go with "Huge Beast" for what light synergy ties you want to put on, say, Mothra or Anguirus. Most kaiju are territorial monsters, they're more likely to have their own support crew than team up all the time.

But Kaiju as a class works too, I guess. It's just a little on the nose (from the guy running with Power Rangers :p).

I like Kaiju a lot and think it should be either the class or the species. They definitely all want to have the same one, I don't want Godzilla, Mothra, etc with Star Lord to be a good army...

Personally I don’t really want Kaiju as a species or class on Godzilla. Like the different monsters totally should have different classes, and the standard is for species to be whatever their base species is. And there’s not really anything that needs to call out Kaiju speciffically, so it just feels like wasted space. Class/Species/Personality are mechincal tools, nothing more or less. So I don’t really see a need to have a random label on someone just to be iconic or some such, like if you don’t know Godzilla is a Kaiju that’s on you, the card doesn’t need to be an educational aid.

Also if we do get into Pacific Rim the Kaiju in that should actually have the species Kaiju for themselves.

I assume that's why folks wanted these grouped together with their class or species? To accomplish something mechanically with them as a group.

I disagree with that concept. Of course they are a mechanical tool, but they're also a representation of theme. A lot of our personality decisions especially aren't based on the idea that there'll be future synergy, just what best represents the character. Knowing that Amanda Waller is Defiant doesn't do anything gameplay-wise (outside of stuff like Mantis or future synergy), but it informs who the character is.

My argument for Kaiju as a species would be that it's similar to something like Entity. Sam, Lady Death, and the Beyonder aren't really the same species at all, but Entity is our catch-all for weirdo stuff like that. I can buy Kaiju as a similar species, and it would give them all something to tie them together if somebody wanted to do that.

My point is like.. none of them make sense to have a power that calls out a Kaiju class/species. So it doesn't really serve much purpose, it would basically be a dead class.

I could see doing some civilian/army type design that calls out Kaiju. Maybe a VDO? I could also see Mecha Godzilla doing it.
