Is 'engages' at term that is defined in the Heroscape rulebook? In other words, if start my turn engaged and move zero spaces, do I "engage" the figure? If the term is not defined, we'll have to define it on the card. i.e "...starts their movement not engaged to..."

How about this for Escape

Escape
If an opponents figure ends it move adjacent to Katniss and before it attacks, roll the 20-sided die. If you roll a 1-11 do nothing. If you roll a 12-16 you may move her 2 spaces. If you roll an 17-19 you may move her 3 spaces. If you roll a 20 you may move her 4 spaces. When Katniss moves with Escape she does not take leaving engagement attacks.

I also really like the Evergreen Cover where she has no visible hit zone when adjacent to an evergreen tree.

I like your "Evergreen Cover" name over my "Evergreen Shroud"

But, I don't think a leveled number of spaces she can flee is necessary.

With Escape, there are two main versions
1) One occurs at the beginning of the figure's turn
2) The other occurs in response during another figure's turn.
While the first version is simpler. I'm warming up to the second and could even say I prefer it. Having it reactionary covers her power to avoid and to survive and to escape

How about a mockup to see where we are?
Spoiler Alert!

Next drafy

Katniss Everdeen
Aquilla

Human
U. Hero
Hunter
Tricky
Medium 5

Life 5
Move 6
Range 8
Attack 2
Defense 3

Hunter's Precision Special Attack
Range 5. Attack 3. (She sacrafices distace for accuracy)
When rolling attack dice for Hunter's Precision Special Attack against a non adjacent figure, each skull rolled counts as one additional hit.

Evergreen Cover
If Katniss is adjacent to an evergreen tree she has no visible hit zones.

Escape 11
If an opponent's figure ends it's move adjacent to Katniss, roll the 20-sided die. If you roll an 11 or higher you may move Katniss up to 3 spaces. When Katniss moves with Escape, she does not take leaving engagement attacks.

As far as the sponsered healing goes was thinking of making it a glyph that affects everybody kind of like what we did with the glyph of the source with duncan macleod. Wish I could see it to get an idea what to do. For some reason I cant see certain images on my phone. Mac are all the pics in the dislay thread on photobuckey?

Looks good JC.

I still have a concern with Escape though. I think the power should include someway for Katniss to avoid attacks for that turn. Otherwise she could escape an adjacent figure only to get nailed with the same figure's ranged attack.

And I feel that Hunter's Precision might be a little too strong. The potential for 6 skulls on a ranged attack seems a little high. And there might be little reason for Katniss to ever use her normal attack on a figure inside 5 range. For instance if she must attack an adjacent figure she could use Hunter's Precision, and even without it doubling skulls at close range, it still would let her roll 3 dice instead of 2.

What about if the special attack cannot be used if she moved?

For some reason I apparently cant view photobucket images with my phone browser

What if:
RANGE 5
ATTACK 4

# SPECIAL ATTACK
Range 8. Attack 1 Special.
Count all skulls twice.

or a reverse Sword of Reckoning

I kind of like the Escape allowing her to disengage but still be able to be attacked. I like it because it gives Evergreen Cover more value, encouraging her to escape somewhere in particular.
> I would prefer a power name closer to 'Hide' then 'Escape' though. The idea behind this power is that the figure thinks it knows where Katniss is, it spends it's move to search, on an 11 or higher, turns out it was wrong, but she's somewhere nearby.

ignoring all attacks works too.

Re: Heroes of Fiction: Design Thread

I agree with McHotcakes. I'd prefer is they are unable to attack her at all. Thematically, it shows that they looked for Katniss, but she moved away just in time so that she could hide nearby.

HIDE 11
If an opponent's figure begins it's move non-adjacent to Katniss and ends it's move adjacent to Katniss, roll the 20-sided die. If you roll an 11 or higher you may move Katniss up to 3 spaces and for the remainder of the turn, Katniss does not have any visible hit zones. When Katniss moves with Escape, she does not take leaving engagement attacks.

I also like this. The special attack is pretty strong with 3 double skull dice. Plus, it gets set up nice with Hide.

This could be your problem. I haven't used Photobuckey since he fell off the Hydra train.
