Death Mask unwounded. (healed a lot, currently at 9 Life)
Parasite unwounded.
Lady Deathstrike unwounded.
She-Hulk technically killed Death Mask just barely early on(about 2-3 turns in), so it is possible to defeat him, but I decided to play it as if she rolled 1 fewer skull to see how the game played out. Did not go well for the Avengers as Death Mask just healed it all away too quickly. Once the turn efficiency was gone that She-Hulk provided with Wasp, it felt insurmountable.
THOUGHTS ON THE TESTED UNIT'S COST, BALANCE, & DRAFTABILITY:
500 feels too low still. Rather than shooting his points higher and higher, I'd recommend removing the blanks from the healing option. Let blanks be nothing. That alone would have been enough to keep him reasonable, IMO. As-is, there's never a reason not to use the power anytime he has 2+ wounds as it's 100% gain unless he's unable to move and not adjacent to anyone. Another option would be not allowing him to move or attack in order to use it. Couldn't really go wrong with both tweaks, but I'd say removing the blanks is the more important one to feel like you have more of a chance going up against him.
Balancing aside, he's definitely fun and ruthless. Not sure if it matters, as he's his own leader, but should he maybe be an Event Hero just to avoid any boosting strategies or synergies using him to some degree?

Went ahead and updated the SP with the suggested BAMN tweaks - personally I'm not 100% sold on him as an Event Hero. We can go for it if I'm on an island there, but I do have a preference for Unique.

I like the changes as well.
EDIT: actually Event Hero does make sense the more I think about it. Put me as slight lean that way.

Moon Knight with 4/5 wounds. (1 life)
Wasp with 1/3 wounds. (2 life)
Very close finish that was anyone's game in the end. Death Mask wasn't as hard to take out here, but still delivered some pain before he fell. Parasite almost killed Wasp, so it was a close ending. He missed a few PLD rolls, and had he had better luck, it likely would have gone the other way.
THOUGHTS ON THE TESTED UNIT'S COST, BALANCE, & DRAFTABILITY:
The tweaks definitely brought him down a peg or two. He's still a decent offensive threat, but his healing wasn't as crazy, and not being able to move forced him into less than ideal positioning at times, even forcing himself to wound his allies this go around which was nice to see be a factor. I wouldn't be surprised to see him come down a bit in points now, but overall with these 2 close games, I feel he's much more tuned to the right range.

My notes got really loose after round 3, but basically, Darkseid rolled out the Parademons, who were struggling to wound Absorbing Man and Death Mask. Eventually they chipped Absorbing Man down, but not before Absorbing Man could put 2 wounds on Darkseid. Winter Soldier then started taking pot shots at Darkseid, before getting tied up with Parademons, and being killed by Darkseid. Darkseid ended up falling to a half-life Death Mask. Never got to use By Any Means Necessary, the bonding, and stats were solid.

It’s very possible Splash would have led with Spawn earlier in the game, but having Spawn as the Target is what made Splash decide to lead with Trigon instead, making Trigon more vulnerable than he would normally be, and going down before he could do any Demonic Reality Shifting.*

SPLASH’s post-game thoughts:
Death Mask feels worth his points. Parademons were too weak to do much in game one, and game two I should've drafted more Blood Demons, but other than that and discounting luck I think they were relatively even games. Death Mask didn't feel too exciting as the main power was just the bonding (although the power names are funny) and we never got to see the last power come into play. I realize now the teams I drafted were counterintuitive to his first power
Map: Alkali Laki

Death Mask, Winter Soldier, Sandman, Stan Lee 1000pts

Results:
I led Sandman along the Dam-top because I didn’t want Jean throwing him off. I totally forgot to use Stan Lee (as I did in my second game with Splash), so it could possibly have been a bigger win for Death Mask. It was somewhat slow, because I was making sure to place Deathmask in spots where he could heal, and any wounds could be placed onto Destructible Objects instead of himself or his allies. X-Men might have done better to focus completely on one Criminal/Assassin before going for Death mask, and then try to destroy Death mask from Range.

Opted to use Firefly for Unblockables before Reed could tie him down, but Winter Soldier died before doing much of anything. More importantly, Surfer would have been a better Mark to start with. Talon was pretty useless, and I should have placed him adjacent to Iceman to tie him down at least. With Talon, I figured I wouldn’t mind too much if I had to put a wound onto him with Death Mask.

THOUGHTS ON THE TESTED UNIT'S COST, BALANCE, & DRAFTABILITY:
Seems balanced to me. There’s a lot of 500pt builds of assassins or criminals that would fill out the second half of a 1000pt army with him.
GENERAL THOUGHTS ON THE TESTED UNIT:
Fun, straightforward character. Not hard to kill, so sometimes retreating to heal is his best option. If he's wounded, unengaged, with no surrounding Destructible Objects, he be a sitting duck.
Thankfully his bonding allows him to distract while that happens. It’s interesting, Take Down the Big Boys kind of means he might not get that extra life against an Army like Darkseid, where Darkseid will likely be the last to go down. In more even-life armies, there’s more choice. Death Mask was hanging on by that extra Beast-given life against Cyclops. I was pretty unlucky with my unblockables, but that’s entirely luck, and they were nice to have.

TAKE DOWN THE BIG BOYS
At the start of each round, if Death Mask does not have a Target on the battlefield, you must choose an enemy figure on the battlefield with the highest Life number listed on its card to be his Target. When Death Mask's Target is destroyed, place it on this card. Add 1 to Death Mask's Life number for each Target on this card.
CRIMINAL MASTERMIND GUY After revealing an Order Marker on this card and before taking a turn with Death Mask, you may take a turn with a Unique Hero you control that is an Assassin or Criminal. You may not take additional turns with figures other than Death Mask. After each figure's turn, if Death Mask's Target received at least one wound during that turn, roll an unblockable attack die against the Target.
BY ANY MEANS NECESSARY Instead of moving and attacking with Death Mask, roll one combat die for each Wound Marker on this card. For each skull rolled, remove a Wound Marker from this card. For each shield rolled, you must choose Death Mask or a figure adjacent to Death Mask to receive a wound.

Army Test
Map : Ravaged Road (No Glyphs)
Units : Death Mask (500), Lady Shiva (175), Batman I (200), Typhoid Mary (120)
= 1000
Pre-Game Thoughts/Preview : Death Mask and some assassins. Ultraman is gonna be tough to take out, but maybe some autowounds from Typhoid Mary will help.
Damage Done (Normal Attack) : Used 6 times, 1 wound to Leatherface, 4 wounds to Ultraman, 2 wounds to Superwoman TAKE DOWN THE BIG BOYS : Placed 2 figures onto Death Mask’s card. CRIMINAL MASTERMIND GUY : Bonding was used every round. Rolled 4 times, 2 wounds to Ultraman, 1 wound to Superwoman, 1 wound to Owlman BY ANY MEANS NECESSARY : N/A
Lady Shiva makes Batman an Assassin.
ROUND 1 : Death Mask initiative. Ultraman is chosen for Take Down The Big Boys.
Just some movement from both teams.
ROUND 2 : Death Mask initiative.
Batman moves into the center of the map behind a tree, and Death Mask flies onto height and blasts Leatherface for 1 wound. Ultraman zaps Batman for 1 wound, and Leatherface sprints up the road and attacks Lady Shiva with Chainsaw Massacre. A good roll has him get 3 wounds onto her. Lady Shiva moves onto height and attacks Leatherface for 1 wound. Leatherface takes a wound when disengaging, and kills himself with Chainsaw Massacre. He gets 2 wounds onto Lady Shiva before dying.
ROUND 3 : Death Mask initiative.
Lady Shiva fails to wound Ultraman with her Leopard Blow, but Death Mask makes up for it by nearly killing Ultraman. The assassins then take some heavy momentum, getting some wounds onto Superwoman and Owlman.
ROUND 4 : Death Mask initiative. Superwoman is chosen for Take Down the Big Boys.
Lady Shiva and Death Mask both throw out some attacks that don’t wound. Superwoman then reveals OM 1 and X to essentially take a double turn and fly across the map near Owlman, and she takes control of Lady Shiva. Shiva jumps into some water and attacks Typhoid Mary, dealing 1 wound and killing her. Batman grapples to height but fails to wound with his Batarangs, but Death Mask attacks Superwoman, killing her with the attack and his autowound. Owlman grapples up to fight Batman, but no wounds. Bats grapples to get onto equal ground of the building ruins, and deals 2 wounds with Batarangs. Death Mask’s autowound then finishes Owlman off. Assassins win!
Who won? List figures remaining in the winning army (include life remaining for heroes): Death Mask 6/6 ( or 8/8 ) Life, Batman 3/4 Life, Lady Shiva 1/4 Life
Post-Game Thoughts : Solid win for Death Mask and his team. He was having some good luck with his autowounds, but he and Lady Shiva were able to put out some very solid damage, even onto the high defense of their opponents her.
Army Test
Map : Ravaged Road (No Glyphs)
Units : Death Mask (500), Metallo (290), Lady Deathstrike (240), Tomoe Gozan (170)
= 1200
Pre-Game Thoughts/Preview : 3 heavy hitters on the blue team. Death Mask is betting on using Metallo and Lady Deathstrike using Cybernetic Repair to stay alive while he throws some damage from afar.
Damage Done (Normal Attack) : Used 8 times, 5 wounds to Gamora, 5 wounds to Proxima Midnight, 1 wound to Wasp, 1 wound to Thanos TAKE DOWN THE BIG BOYS : Thanos was placed on Death Mask’s card near the end game, making things a bit more comfortable for him. CRIMINAL MASTERMIND GUY : Bonding was used every round. Rolled 7 times, 5 wounds to Thanos BY ANY MEANS NECESSARY : N/A
ROUND 1 : Death Mask initiative. Thanos is chosen for Take Down the Big Boys.
Both teams send their ground pounders down the road in the center, while Death Mask gets some high ground. Gamora and Death Mask are the only ones wounded this round.
ROUND 2 : Thanos initiative.
Gamora dies to Death Mask’s attacks. Proxima retaliates by heavily wounding Death Mask with Stellar Spear. Mask ends the round by flying away to safety, while Metallo moves into melee with Thanos/Proxima.
ROUND 3 : Death Mask initiative.
Proxima and Thanos quickly kill Metallo. Lady Deathstrike moves up and gets a wound onto Thanos, but she ends the round heavily wounded.
ROUND 4 : Death Mask initiative.
Death Mask gets a strong start to the round, with Thanos nearly dying. Lady Deathstrike then scores the kill on him with Vengeful Strike + a normal attack. Death Mask pushes the advantage, taking a turn to fly down and kill Wasp. Proxima and Deathstrike end the round by trading some wounds.
ROUND 5 : Thanos initiative. Spurned by Death activates and Thanos comes back near Proxima. Thanos is chosen for Take Down the Big Boys.
Thanos plops back down and nearly kills Deathstrike. Since every OM had to go onto him, Deathstrike/Death Mask focus down the Mad Titan, and manage to kill him before his OM 3. Proxima is the last survivor for her team, and she’s heavily wounded.
ROUND 6 : Death Mask initiative.
Proxima rolls some solid defense, but Death Mask gets the last wounded needed for his team. Death Mask wins!
Who won? List figures remaining in the winning army (include life remaining for heroes): Death Mask 2/6 (or 2/7) Life, Tomoe Gozan 4/4 Life
Post-Game Thoughts : Hard fought game between two powerful leaders. Death Mask was able to stay on the outskirts of the battle well, while Lady Deathstrike and Metallo forced the Blue Team to work them down.
Thoughts on the Tested Unit's Cost, Balance, and Draftability :This fella is very strong, both as a leader and a fighter. 500 points feels like it’s more than appropriate. Criminals have a pretty deep synergy pool already, but I think Death Mask works well as a final boss kind of leader.
General Thoughts on the Tested Unit :Super fun, and very threatening. You want to kill him to avoid his bonding and autowounds, but the threat of By Any Means Necessary had me scared to engage him at points. 6 Move/6 Range lets you use his attack while staying fairly safe as well
I played him against what felt like two solid but not outstanding armies, but Death Mask feels a little stronger than average after his two wins, but not to a degree to cause concern IMO. I'd also note my Criminal Mastermind Guy luck was better than average.

Yeah, I think we're in good shape, but I'll give folks* a little time to look over the results and weigh in.
