Character Bio - Steve Rogers had been believed to be dead at the hands of a hypnotized Sharon Carter, but it was revealed that the gun she used only phased him in and out of space and time. Once he was able to gain control and remain in the present, he formally gives Bucky his Captain America shield and asks him to continue as Captain America. Later, the President of the United States pardons Steve Rogers for his actions during the Superhero Registration Act and names him as the nation's head of security in place of Norman Osborn. Rogers reestablishes The Avengers team and then forms up a team that he personally leads called The Secret Avengers.

MASTER TACTICIAN
At the beginning of your turn, if there is at least one revealed Order Marker on this card, you may rearrange any unrevealed Order Markers on cards in your army. You may move Order Markers from cards of your destroyed figures.

TRAINED TO PERFECTION
Before attacking with Commander Rogers, you may choose to either:
  • attack any or all figures adjacent to Commander Rogers, rolling each attack separately; or
  • add one automatic skull when attacking an adjacent figure.
PHOTONIC ENERGY SHIELD
If Commander Rogers would receive one or more wounds from a normal or special attack, ignore one of those wounds. If Commander Rogers rolls excess shields when defending against a normal attack from a figure within 5 clear sight spaces, the attacking figure receives one wound.

I assume you are about to PM and make a Sanctum Link Post, right. :)

The Shield Mastery power seems weird, in that its title suggests it is the best, yet it is less than the Vibranium power we gave him - also it is weird in that he doesn't have an actual shield with him. :|

I had to finish what I was doing first. I tend to post pictures of a figure right after I post the OP and SP. Then I send out the PM and link it to the Inner Sanctum. Sometimes I forget for a few hours, but in this case, I actually did it before I read your post. :D

VIBRANIUM ALLOY SHIELD
When defending against an attack, Captain America always adds one automatic shield to whatever is rolled.
I don't see how the below is less than the above? It's the same power with the addition of him being able to inflict a wound when being attacked. I was originally going to make it a ranged counterstrike but thought it might be too much and toned it down to be more like Batman 1's Evasive Strike and only inflict 1 wound. I didn't put "shields rolled" because he has an auto-shield and I wanted it to be represented by the total of "all shields" while defending and not just the ones he rolled.

Regarding the mini not having a shield, Commander Rogers has a Photonic Shield that is made out of some kind of energy that he doesn't have strapped on all the time. It comes out of some kind of device on his wrist and he can throw it as well as use it to block with.

Re: The Book of Commander Rogers - Design Phase

Does he carry the same shield at this point? If so, it might be a nice link to have one carry over power from the C3G Cap.

Cool write up!

Edit: :ninja: That answered my concerns about the shield power, thanks. :-)

Photonic Shield - can we call it that then and try to incorporate all of its attributes rather than simulate our Vibranium power?

PHOTONIC SHIELD
http://www.comicbookmovie.com/images...nic_energy.jpg
During a storyline involving an exiled Rogers he was again unable to use his regular shield, Sharon Carter provided him with a photonic energy shield that was designed to mimic a vibranium matrix. Added feature of this shield is that it was able to turn into an energy staff that could be used as a weapon.

Currently in 616 continuity, having relinquished his title as CAPTAIN AMERICA to BUCKY as well as his Vibranium-Iron alloy disc shield, CAPTAIN STEVE ROGERS went back into using the photonic shield.

Okay fellas, I'll work on something to make this Photonic Energy Shield different from Vibranium Shield (though it is pretty much the same when used as a shield). I think the energy staff is pretty much covered by Trained to Perfection.

Maybe a d20 power where he can ignore damage (to see if he has his shield out in time). Maybe incorporate his acrobatic prowess when avoiding damage allowing him to move up to 3 spaces and no more than 6 levels up or down for each space moved. Maybe if he fails d20 to avoid damage he can still have ranged counterstrike.

A rough idea here for something different as I see no way really to make Photonic Shield more different that I had Shield Mastery before because it's basically an energy shield that does the same thing that his other one did but can turn into an energy staff. So I went into a different direction for better or worse. I've gotta go now though.

ACROBATIC COUNTER MANEUVERS
If Commander Rogers is attacked by an opponent's figure within 5 clear sight spaces, roll the 20-sided die. If you roll 1-14, roll defense normally and all excess shields count as unblockable hits on the attacking figure. If you roll 15 or higher Commander Rogers takes no damage and you may immediately move Commander Rogers up to 3 spaces and no more than 6 levels up or down for each space moved. When Commander moves using Acrobatic Counter Maneuvers, he will not take any falling damage or leaving engagement attacks.

Re: The Book of Commander Rogers - Design Phase

Acrobatic Counter Maneuvers doesn't really do much for me. I really like the power in the OP. Just with a more thematic name.
