So I thought it would be fun to line up all my orcs (minus Grimnak) and take some dramatic shots of the group with visions of Helms deep in my head.
This is what it looks like from further away:
Then from closer up:
Then closer yet on the heavies:
And close up on the blade grutes:
And focused on the flagbearers:
Which do you like best??

After a few very close calls with drinks on the Heroscape table it became very clear to me that I was going to have to invest in card sleeves to protect my coveted army cards. I did a lot of research into what sleeves would work best and what to avoid and purchased a few to see what I liked best.
Let me start with what I observed and then I will go into what I chose and why.
HouseMouseGames was selling card sleeves and these were touted as the best. One thing that made them the best was thickness and consistency in size. They describe them as:
Protect your Army cards with these heavy-duty protective vinyl sleeves. These sleeves are 5 1/4" x 5 1/4", are 7 mil thick, and fit PERFECTLY. Your cards will NEVER fall out and will not be damaged by constant play. Protect your investment with these inexpensive card protectors. Set of 20 sleeves. $6.95 or roughly $.35 ea.
Ok, $.35ea and I had a little over 500 cards came out to $173.75!!!...

I took a chance and bought a few more of the Champions of Renown boosters (actually all 6 of them) and they arrived today.
If anyone is interested in one, let me know and I can sell it to you at my cost plus shipping plus tip (and I know the tips will be something like "get a life"). Though, I would rather do a trade for something on my want list
I like this set because it comes with Sir Hawthorne (who was a very limited edition Gen-Con special), Narek (also a Gen-COn special) and Elite Onyx Vipers (Walmart special). If you missed any of these, now you can have them all.
ALL GONE...sorry.

This is my first blog entry. I just took the few hours it takes to sort all my army cards alphabetically and then enter them into a spreadsheet. I then laid out all my figures in squads and took inventory on those and placed that in the spread sheet. The final count was 1025 with a few missing cards and a few cards without figures (very sad).
I just ordered 500 10 mil sleeves to protect my cards and plan to heat seal the ends to make them water tight (for all those late night games in the rain).
